split screen

Would it be possible to get a split screen mode on Mount'n'Blade? Would be great fun to play with a mate, either dueling or coop.

Sure, loads of games on PC used to have split screen. Just use 2 mice + half keyboard each and you're away.

yes,I remember the dos game 'the settlers 2' had a two mice function. I however never made my pc run with a ps2 and com mouse properly. Did you have other 'successful' experiences, clappytheseal? Anyways it's be great to implement.

Can't imagine how it would work in the game as it is now, but if a skirmish mode was made, maybe you could add splitscreen to it?

I think the game would run ok if you just decreased the number of people on the field per fight.

Dunno what comp you are on but personally I run the game with 4* Anis Filter and 2* AA with no probs. Drops to about 30 in the biggest battles and i'm only using a geforce 6600 + 1gb ram + 2000k+ cpu. I think it could easily run split screen, especially arena fights or duels/jousts

Yeah Warbah calm your ass down. It would be cool to have arena fights with another mate. Also adding the already mentioned idea of being able to choose what weapon you get

id say making it LAN would be better, since in two screen you dont really see a lot and its kinda unconfortable.. also you see where your enemy is and what his stats are.....

kroc problem is that it has already been stated around a million times that there will be no multiplayer in the tradional sense of conneting via LAN or the Net. So I was hoping to inquire about the possiblity of split screen, which complealty side-steps the problems of having to write netcode or whatever. Anyone know about the feasibilty of split screen for M&B? Cheers

.. i still say split-screen is a bad idea unless you have two monitors and 2 mouse and 2 keyboards....
