Speed of units?

Can anybody tell me, what affects the speed of units in your party? I am aware of how the total speed of the party is calculated, but i want to know how the speed of each individual is calculated.
By this, i mean yourself, Marnid/borcha and all the troops.

If anybody has some hard figures on troop speed, that would be helpful.

I don't think it breaks down individually. Give them better horses maybe? Hard figures are hard to come by here in fantasyland, keeping fast riders like knights or Khergits in the prisoner slots is an easy way to boost your speed, along with keeping good horses in the inventory.

This thread should probably have been posten in the mod section, where the more learned people reside.

I know that khergits, knights and dark knights etc are fast, but i'd like to find out who is fastest.

Dark knights would seem the fastest. Higher level units inherently get a speed bonus. All horses are treated the same so I'd imagine DKs to be the fastest.
