I don't think that 10 talkers whould be more computing intense than hundred warriors at work, but as it's already a pressed on feature not an orderly usage of the engine, anything more than it's current form need to be tested. If things goes wrong, you can still save performance by triggering speakers only within a specific range, or those who are in the same building/area as the player.
