Source code?

I came across posts about an older version of this mod, and the source code being released as well, but I can't seem to find it for the newest version. The thing is, M&B's nerfed bows really bother me, and I can't get past it. The very first thing I did with Native was double the arrow damage, and decrease the drawing speed a bit to balance it out. It's a lot more realistic that way, and at this point, I just can't play without it.

I figured out how to add Polished Landscapes, so I've removed that part of the post completely, and changed the title.

you just could :ve edited your post lol
and btw why not share how you did it? some others might be interested
just a suggestion though, do as you like

Well the thing is, the problem was my own stupidity, lol!! I got it to work by simply following instructions I'd overlooked before. I went back to the Polished Landscapes thread and saw that you can edit the module.ini of whatever mod you're adding it to. So I just didn't think there was any point in cluttering up the post with a problem that turned out to be my own fault. At this point, I just need to know where I can get the source code, so I can edit the bow damage and firing speed.

lol you're right...anyway it happens to everyone to mess up with things like that.
That's weird because I think the bow damage from vanilla is pretty respectable. I died many times by a one-hit-kill arrow from the enemy. Haven't you? I also use a bow as my main weapon in my current game, and I can easily kill a guy one-shot, or most of the times 2 shots.

Well, it seems to me that bow damage is only realistic when you're using one of the most powerful bows against a lightly armored target. In those situations, there can be one-shot kills, but in my experience, a low to mid-range bow couldn't even kill someone with a headshot unless they were a low-level recruit. That just didn't seem right to me. Especially once I got higher-end armor, archers just didn't seem to pose enough of a risk to me -- I felt like I could absorb more arrows than I should be able to. I mean, given the things I've heard about longbows having the ability to pierce even plate armor at 100 meters, it seemed to me that arrows should be more than just an annoyance, regardless of how heavily armored someone is.

I think you're right, I observed the same things hapening in my games... even though I rarely wear an helmet!

And the other weird thing about bows are their stats/price relation. When you look at bows in the weapon store, you can find some bow that are totally cheap, like of 75 denar value, that do not require any draw-skill. And you can find in the same store and super bow of maybe 650 denars which requires 3 draw-skill, but with worst damage / speed stat than the cheapest one!!!
I really don't get that one... can you also change that easily?

Yeah, all the stats can easily be edited. In fact, I've just discovered that you don't even need the source code if you use a tool someone made: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?topic=105928.0

So far, this has worked fine with the E1200 mod, so I was able to get the bow damage and firing speed to where I wanted it to be. The other stats you mentioned can also be edited, although I haven't tried yet.
