I know we can add our own songs by editing the txt file but I seriously hope something will be done regarding the sound, little seems to have change since 0.6XX well some hurrahs and ouch’s been added during battle.
Sometimes there are long dead periods between songs and even when on they aren’t very compelling are they? nice but monotonous.
Adding more sounds and specially music from the historical era would seriously improve immersion. It would be great to see troubadours/street performers in the town streets especially if the song/act performed would vary to represent the different kingdoms.
Great things have been done in terms of gameplay and visual effects but sound seems to have been left behind, understandable but sad (at least for me) especially in a game that thrives to capture a certain era.
I would also boost the sound of the horses’ gallop, even though it seems quite real it’s too “clean” and lacks bass. One of the most remarking things when riding a horse is the impact/sound of the horses’ legs touching the ground. Even nowadays horses are one of the most effective crowds control/dispersal methods, boosting the sound would be the best way to recreate the experience for both the rider and the poor infantry soldier being charged at
