All of China (plus peripheral countries) on one map just doesn't seem like a good idea to me. Personally I'd just focus on one thing, like Toyotomi Hideyoshi's invasion of Korea (if you want to fight samurai) or on Yongle's invasion of Dai Viet.

I think I'm sticking with it. After all, this isn't going to be a historical mod. However, I will pull together things that happened in the Ming dynasty period. I personally believe that just focusing on one event would be rather dull. That would be going back to the 2 faction system of old M&B.

Nice name. Sound's familiar though.

I made the name up on the spot, I swear. However, it's VERY likely that something else is using the same name somewhere. If there is a problem with it, I'll just change the name.

This should be a rather interesting mod if you go through with it, all though if you don't want to many complaints... I'de suggest taking your time on it.. Ya know?:]

oops.. I had one hold on..

From the images provided by gauntlet, the armors are lamellar vests or iron scales worn over a cloth top. The cavalries seemed to be using Pudao, also used by infantries and the second image shows soldiers using willow leaf sabres.Their helmets are spiked, obviously.

"You call that a knife? This is a knife!"

Actually I'm not sure of this, but they say this is a sword used by Ch'i Chi-kuang's army against japanese priates.

Some infantries on this part of the scroll, you can refer to their uniforms. Note that this was a scene of early Ming Dynasty so it might not fit the mod perfectly.

What I know is changdao was used against the mongols starting from 1560s, if the mod is to be set before that time then the horse-slaying blade should be zhanmadao instead of changdao. China had also produced it's own firearms or muskets in the Ming dynasty starting from the 14th century but started to import a lot of them in later generations from the west. Again, a specific time period is a problem for the mod. I think mace was also used by Ming troops starting from 1500s but also possibily in earlier times.

damn, I´d love to help you with this mod, but I don´t have any usefull skills

Even if you did, I wouldn't accept your help at this current time.

However, the one kind of help that I would accept and everyone here can provide is posting accurate pictures of Ming dynasty era armors, weapons, shields etc...

Also, pics of the other factions (first page) would be helpful as well.
