teenagers prefrontal cortex especially at the kids age isnt even close to fully developed which is why they do soo much stupid **** like in this without thought.

@AG: I didn't kill my father when I was 14 because he pulled the plug on my Xbox because I was getting worked up over losing a game (and that did happen, really).
This kid has no excuse whatsoever.

Obviously there are many factors to consider but there is alot fo science behind it which is reasons why we have laws for minors which are different when commited by adults.
As for older women, most older women who commit violent crimes are often pressured (alot of the time by men) or are under the effect of some psycological problem ie. battered wife syndrome.

most crimes are commited in the heat of passion, the kid who was obsessed with games (his life apparently) had it taken away from him by his father leading him to become enraged and have extreme feelings of anger and coupled with the inability to properly make the decision that its not a good idea to kill someone to solve the problem he reacted in the heat of emotion of the moment without weighing the consequences and killed the source of his anger and now he will pay for it.

its doesnt state the time between when the keyboard was taken and the time the father went to sleep which considering it was the same day the kid was acting on the emotions he was feeling after the fact which had not subsided, the brutality and simplicity of the act only further proof the kid wasnt thinking at the time for if he had he would have realised that getting his games back would be pointless from such an action as hed be going to jail soon after.
