Somewhat technical question, wouldnt this game benefit from using atlas textures?

I was just wondering about something, do the devs read the forums? I have some experience modding games and some of them use atlas textures instead of traditional texture approaches. So as a quick question, has taleworlds ever considered using atlas textures for things like armour instead? Games like the X games and Star Citizen use this technique. Would that even work? As far as I understand it could be something to consider for future games because mount and blade seems to be the perfect kind of game for this approach. Just curious, anyone got any idea? (I'll look like a real idiot if they already use them lol).
