Are there any plans in the works for battle map save/load custom formations?
Allowing your troops to form up into a predetermined formation that could potentially be a one click solution per battle, thus doing away with the routine dozen or more seperate F-key commands that we have now. Also this could still be a matter of personal preference for the player, if given the choice.
The crux - we have 8 formations, Inf, Archer, Cav, etc etc, and the sheer repetitiveness of having to dail in complex F-key combinations for each one, like some sweaty safecracker against the clock, has long since lost it's appeal. Moreover, when you're in a position of constant war on many fronts and the game begins to feel like a battle simulator, this F-key/mouse click/drag blitzgrieg thing gets super old really fast.
Eventually we'll have the pre-battle setup perk and while I feel this feature will be a slight improvement, it wil still require multiple F-key commands placing all units in various stances ect, but without the added pressure of the enemy advancing and that being the only difference.
If save/load custom formations are not on the list, then please TWs, I urge you at some point to consider and explore the idea.
