So strange, that now I often see HUGE BATTLES (1k x 1k).

Rhodoks and Swads are at war with Nords (me ofcourse) and Vaegirs. Result :
HUGE BATTLES (1k x 1k). Like Ragnar got allied with Vaegs, and Harlaus with Rhods....

But actually I never seen lords from different factions teaming up. Is this a new feature in 1.0 or was it allways like this ?

Factions have improved strategic AI; part of this is an increase in the number of parties in a campaign group, which means massive battles can happen much more frequently. It has always been possible for factions to team up to take down common enemies, although with the improved AI this will inevitably happen more often.

The AI is also much better at sieges now. In the past, without player intervention there was never any real threat of a faction losing large amounts of property to their enemies, even if they were at war with everyone else. Parties now jump into sieges within a few hours, rather than sitting outside for days going "siege, siege, s--oh look, a caravan!" and eventually losing interest altogether. Factions break off sieges far less often now (generally due to being defeated or driven off rather than simply losing interest) and it's quite possible for a campaign group to enter a faction's territory and conquer several fiefs within a few days.

Yesterday I fought 975 Vaegirs with 144 Swadians which were only mine. I won on 111% difficulty. Wasn't hard at all.
