something i noticed...

ok, so im currently changing the bows values a bit and i decided to go through the troops to check for who uses what bow...

and a couple of things i noticed:
1: almost noone uses khergit bows... they usually go from nomad bow in the standard unit to strong bow in the veteran unit, completely skipping the khergit bow (even the ormelis)
2: no nation uses the longbow at all... not even the mercenary nirdamese longbowmen use the longbow! they use the warbow. The only ones that use longbow are brigands and nord raiders (i think)
3: well i had something else to say, but i forgot hehe...

just strikes me as a bit odd that almost no units use the khergit bow or the longbow... the khergit bow is the absolute medium of the horseman composite bows (nomad, khergit and strong)...
also, its a bit sad that more or less no units (that you can aquire anyway) uses the longbows, since they look great when the troops use them...
 
I agree. I propose Archers of the Radiant Cross! :grin:

they would be similar to Brigadiers, except they use longbows.
 
actually ive modified my game a bit, so now veteran yaya's use warbows and strongbows and karakitarn longbowmen actually use longbows (and warbows)

i also went over every bow armed troop in the game to give them more "fitting" bows...

Nah. I like the variety of Auxillary troops the LT gets. A suitable reminder to all the other puny nations of Calradia.
 
actually, i think the only ones that should have longbows are the vaegirs or swadians...
and (like i did myself) the veteran yayas of the ormelis should have warbows (with a greater chance of a strongbow tho)
 
Bah, the Swadians already have their crossbows. The Tsardom should be the only ones who should get the longbow in my opinion.
 
Why would the russian wannabes carry longbows? If something they should be using the khergit bow. Much closer to what they are supposed to emulate from our world.

Could perhaps add another mercenary tree emulating British archers?
 
i meant instead of crossbows for swadians...

there is no real "english" faction... weve got russians, germans, bysantines, spaniards, eastern nomads/persians and german late renaissance factions... no real english faction (i would prefer the swadians to be remade to more english since the imperial state more or less reaks of german-ness)

and i agree about the vaegirs... wich is why i havent given them longbows, ive given them nomad bows and strongbows...
 
It wouldn't really make much sense for a German oriented faction to have defected from an English oriented faction. New Faction anyone?  :smile: There doesn't really have to be an "English" oriented faction either but I understand what you are talking about.

There are already gay parades in Marienburg.
