have your gold and hp displayed on your standard screen, so you dont have to check out your party or inventory.

have the option of camping out, so it works like a tavern but costs food or something.

give the archer some, ANY form of defense. caus otherwise your dead as soon as someone with a weapon comes near you, if for whatever reason youve just got a bow. or at least allow him to make short range arrow attacks, caus if theyre right in front of you, the archery sight shoudlnt be as much of an issue.

have the option of attacking farmers maybe? i think that would just be fun

make the computer less perfect at shooting

no matter how **** the horse is, any horse the size of a lame saddle horse would be able to run faster than the lame saddle horse........

make trades with farmers or caravans? like, there should be a market where the buy and sell rates are equal, not biased in favour of the merchant.

have less 'bring me this many of these' missions

perhaps introduce a 'champion fight' bit where you can do one on one's with a certain 'leader' of the opposition. im sure theres been similar talk of this here in this forum.

be able to loot more. i see horses, i see weapons but when ive killed them all, all there is are some woolen hats and few rocks?

overall i think this is one of the most promising games ive seen in years.

and i think it will get heaps better by version 1.

That's why the horse is lame. It's limping.

well having more than the HP displayed on the screen means further developing the GUI to put more HUD stuff on-screen
I agree with this

I also believe that you should be able to return from the character, quests and inventory screens by pressing the same button you pressed to get in them (ie. you press i for inventory and press i to get out of it again)

also, I'm not sure if I like the fact that the inventory, quests and character screens pause the game when they are activated. I believe they should not pause the game
I also think they shouldn't take over the whole screen, but be a window blocking some of the screen, like most games with such screens do (diablo, dungeon siege, world of warcraft, everquest, neverwinter nights, etc)

Eh, I dunno. You can always put your cursor over your party to check out health, and other than the very very early game....do you ever care about how much gold you have outside of trade screens?

Not bad, but even better would be to add a 'time speed up button' that works whether you're moving or staying still.

Actually, I've dicovered archers aren't nearly as helpless as I first thought they were. The trick is in the timing. As the guy runs up to you...WAIT. Pull back your bow, and just as he pulls back to strike you, let fly. Since he's right in front of you, you'll hit him. Immediatly start drawing again, and by the time he's recovered from the knockback, you'll be ready to let fly again. Rinse and repeat. Cheap as all hell, but it works.

The computer's pretty bad already. It only seems good at lower levels.

How many stores do you know that operate without a significant markup? How do you think middlemen make their profit?

I prefer it to pause the game. If im checking on something in the inventory I dont want to have to worry that ill be attacked by some enemy without being prepared.
