Some questions about this mod

1- If I choose the option Change Kingdom Faction (Swadian,Vaegir,Nord,Rhodok,Khergit), it won't make any difference right?
2- Someone can explain the faction archetypes?
3- Are the ship battles still in development?
4- Sometimes I am walking on the map and a farmer's party travel to me and disappear, (I think they are from my own faction without fiefs) it is a bug? If i join another faction they will stop?

Sorry for any orthographic mistakes

1. Not sure, I haven't exactly sorted that out yet. It might, though.
2. ehh... I'll do that soon. EDIT: See below.
3. Yes.
4. It is a bug, but it doesn't actually affect anything, so...

Faction descriptions added. (For first five anyways. I'll work on the rest very soon...)

Faction 1: (Diran Clan) These guys don't have much special about them. They're very well armored, and use a large variation of weapons. They also have decent bowmen.

Faction 2: (Saexenr Clan) These guys are deadly, plain and simple. They have highly competent bowmen, and their higher-tier infantry is well-armored and they all carry swords, a luxury few can afford.

Fyrdman > Garberend > Gar-Georosnotor > Gar Aeoling
                      |
                  Gumrinc
                      |

Faction 3: (Borgr Clan) The Borgr Clan is one of the least advanced when it comes to fighting technique and equipment. Yet they're still very deadly. The larger part of their forces all have javelins, and en masse they will strike down anything that charges towards them. However, heavy infantry with sheilds make the javelins next to useless, and despite their skill of throwing a javelin, they lack hand-to-hand fighting skill, and wear light, weak furs as opposed to heavier yet more protective mail.

Georl Fyrdman > Thegn Gumrinc > Fyrdman Aeoling > Hundred Eolder
          |                                              ^

Gie Rel Berend - Banner Bearer
Fyrdman Aeoling - veteran-hero of the fyrd
Hundred Eolder - Senior thegn/leader of the warband (Garheap)
*These words are a translation of Saxon
Faction 4: (Brugr Clan) The Brugr Clan are proud to be the onse who set the record for best infantry throughout all their troops. Hand to hand, these guys are hard to beat. But their lack of archers and their heavy armor make them fairly easy pickings for skilled marksmen.

Ungmenni > Ungr Rekkr > Rekkr > Hersir

Faction 5: (Serthr Clan) The Serthr Clan isn't entirely outstanding when it comes to face-to-face beating your opponent down with an axe type of fighting. They have competent enough infantry, yes, but their real power is their powerful bowmen.

Trying out the mod now

A question also:

Do the invaders have horses? (their steppe troops, for instance...)
Would be cool if there was an invasion of only horse fiends
It could be selected or not, since the fact that there aren't any horses in this mod is so cool.
Would be interesting to see the viking clans fighting against hordes of horsemen, though

Cheers

I was thinking about horses, but if I did include them I would first get rid of the riding skill etc so that the player still can't ride the horses. (Who would teach you, after all?)

Tbh, anything other than a spearman would probably get pummeled by tons of horsemen - so maybe make them like rare royal guards that only appear a bit?

Nah, no armored horses or any of that sh**.
No viking clan can ride, and neither can the player, but a horsespawn comes and invades the land.
They don't even need to have styrrups (like in the hegemony mod - and it actually means no couched lance...), but they all ride horses. Would be cool to face such an enemy

I suggest that you need to do something about the riding and horse archery skills regardless of what you end up doing with the invaders.  It's too easy to get them by default during character creation.  Skill points are precious so it's annoying to have some wasted that way .

For instance, my current character is the son of a famous berserker, who kept me in a cage as a child, except when he took me out several times a day to beat me.  Then I became a raider and member of the berserkergang myself.  I'd think an extra point of iron skin would be more appropriate than riding skill, given that background
