Noticed some issues and/or bugs with the 3.6 version. Hope this helps.
1) **IMPORTANT** On the village elder quests where you rescue his daughter from a lord by either paying him off or taking a ding on your relationship status with him, if you have an army close or exceeding 300 units; you will loose a significant portion of your army and have all of them replaced by the rescued daughter. Let's say I had Knights, Jatu Lancers, Jatu Raiders, Mercenary Horseman/Cavalry, Noldor archers, Knight Archers, and Nobleman that collectively hit 300 units in my army. I rescued the daughter from the lord and now I have Knights, Jatu Lancers/Raiders, SOME of my mercanaries and then the daughter....All the noldor, archers, and nobleman have now vanished from my army never to return even after the quest. In order to "quick fix" this, garrison your troops until your party is around 150 and THEN rescue the daughter from the lord.
2) In 3.6 you said you added a couple of new factions like the Militines. Apart from additional equipment, I cannot find any of them apart from the same mercenaries. Is this supposed to be like this (I downloaded the upgrade patch), or are they supposed to be an actual small faction with a town, villages, castles, lords, etc.? I did start a new game (hence why I noticed the new equipment for the militines).
3) Hey again, I noticed in my new game that I start off with negative relations with the Knights of the Dawn. I understand why I would be treated with a little hostility from the Noldor, as they don't like humans; but is there a reason why your character starts off with a -10 relationship with them? Is this correct, or are they supposed to be neutral starting off like every other knight order?
I also noticed that I start off with a whopping -40 relationship with knight of eventide order; I haven't done anything to them and only discovered this vast amount of hate between them and me once I helped them out in a battle and my relation went from -40 to -36.....why is this relationship so highly hated when I haven't done anything to them yet? Is this done purposefully?
4) Had an incident with the "let your companions choose from the loot" option after a battle. Ediz had D'Shar arrows (4 damage) but wound up equipping Barbed Arrows (2 damage). I think he did it because you get 4 more arrows than the D'Shar arrows. I would look over the code and make sure you are doing the armor from a collective +armor rating (head/chest/legs) and damage rating for weapons and nothing else.
With regards towards the armor, I mean that let's say you have Plate Armor that gives +56 chest and +16 leg armor; but you have a Full Plate Armor that gives +5 head, +54 chest, and +16 leg armor. Right now, my companions would auto equip the regular plate armor because it has more chest, but the Full Plate Armor collectively has more armor.
5) I've noticed that Tuldar Castle (D'Shar) does not let you create a knighthood order regardless if you have the necessary stats (money, honor, renown, etc.) and training grounds built. The option in the dialog is there, but you are never given any choices.
Edit: Also, the choice to create your own order is awesome, but the wait times are pretty ridiculous. I can conquer a faction or two - if not more - by the time just one upgrade is made. I would heavily consider altering the wait times on equipping new knighthood orders to be less than half of what they are now. I think that is a realistic time scale given how the game time scale is and taking into consideration the time to get the equipment (if a king wants some equipment, he's going to get that equipment pretty quickly I would imagine). Lastly, this is a Knighthood, so nobles are heavily involved in it. It does not make sense for a Knighthood that's heavily influenced by nobility - even a brand new order - to have low (even for peasants) quality armor and weapons even when starting off.
It would be a nice idea to choose right from the beginning what equipment you want them to wear and what skills to specialize in (like lances, bows, one/two handed, etc.).
With regards towards the initial equipment selection (if you decide to incorporate that); I can imagine that you would have lesser (but still decent since we're talking about a knighthood order here) gear to initially choose from (like light mails) and you can choose to upgrade to something better (like heavy plate).
UPDATE: I was finally able to make a knighthood order at Tuldar Castle. Still cannot figure out why it was denying me that option for so long.
6) Can someone further explain how it's decided which knighthood order you can establish at a conquered castle/town? I would imagine that you would be able to establish w/e one you damn well pleased (as long as you have a neutral/good relationship with them of course). I'm part of the Rangers of the Clarion Call and I'm at the upper 50's now in relationship with them. EVERY DARN CASTLE I conquer, no matter where it is, all I can establish now is the Rangers of the Clarion Call. This is pretty frustrating as I want my Pendor Knights to be Griphons or Radiant Crosses (and I own Laria now so I already have an establishment of the Clarion Call)....Is there some trick to this I'm not getting or will I actually have to leave the Clarion Call in order to get a better selection of knighthoods again?
Towns still have their specific Orders to choose from though, it's just that any castle only gives me the Clarion Call to choose and towns only give me their initial knighthood order and Clarion, but nothing else.
7) Hey again. I noticed after starting a new game and having Julia in my team; Julia is set to auto equip better crossbows. The problem is that if there are no crossbows in the loot pool, she'll just unequip it with nothing to replace it.
Reporting in again, I noticed that some units (like Hero Adventurers) who have lances in their inventory actually try to use them in close combat...which does not work. It may be a good idea to implement an if statement or something that tells lance equipped units to NOT use their lances in sieges or any close quarter combat while on foot. I think Floris Workshop/Silverstag mod creator managed to do this where if they are in close quarter combat whether on foot or on horseback; they will stop using their lances. You might want to PM him and see if he'd be willing to tell you how to do this if you have any trouble with it; I'm sure he'd be willing to help.
9) Discovered that when you raid the treasure map Red Brotherhood area (the Red Brotherhood lair you get a treasure map for); although you're fighting Red Brotherhood, this does not contribute toward Red Brotherhood bounties from Knight Orders.
10) My Qualis Gem that I was saving in my inventory disappeared!!!! I never used it, never asked the book merchants or quigfin for anything so I have no idea why it left my inventory. I can account to this happening in 2 playthroughs.
