Some insane quests

I've got a few insane quests from Counts and Kings of my trusty friends the Swadians. Some of them are literally impossible. I decided to screenshot the latest in a bid to the devs to give the random-made quests a boundary of some kind.

The Quest

I had to catch and kill a raider party that had destroyed a village near Praven. Their base was at Richaveg. The quest started at Jelkala. My party consisted of just me, Marnid and Borcha. We were travelling at 10.4 , and we still didn't make it. It was, quite literally, an impossible mission.

Map <- Clicky clicky, its a linky

So devs, if you can, please put a limit on the quests somehow

I never had to a quest like that... until after I read your post. I was at Sargoth though and the King says "Blah Blah, bandits from Praven to Rivacheg..." I was so pissed so I just, somehow, managed to see them from where I was at and teleported to kill them. That is the only time I've cheated but, I consider it justified.

These quest/mission related Vaegir Raiders typically don't go fast as they have a load of prisoners, so just go to Rivacheg and see if you can beat them.

I once had a mission like this and directly went to their base, but they failed to show up for a long time. Much later I went towards the place were they were last spotted pillaging Swadian lands and I then saw a slow moving group of enemies "Vaegir Raiders" in purple color with 25 (!) Peasant Women as prisoners. I killed all of them but couldn't take on all prisoners.

I've been on a quest like this for about three game months now. I haven't gotten a glimpse of the raiders and they still haven't made it to their base. My theory is that their party was attacked and destroyed/captured, and the quest is therefore impossible to complete.

I think that if they are destroyed by another group of people, then you will get the 'quest failed' text. If not, bug?

haha, the best is the mission to get 18 chargers.. although if you do succeed, you wind up with like 400,000 cash. i would say that it's not worth the trouble though. that's when you quit without saving and restore

You do indeed get that message with that explanation "troublesome bandits destroyed by"

I just had that quest, where they attacked a village near Tihr, and they were heading to Tulga.

I rushed as fast as I could to Tihr ... no sign of them. Not even any potential tracks that could be theirs. I then go to Tulga, and still no sign of them!

I'm thinking that they never even appeared in the first place!!!

I'm the Grandmaster-Knight of the Swadian Army now...had to do quite a few damn missions to get that high...so ya, I've run into these before, you just get used to 'em, then all of a sudden you get one like that and it's like "WTF?!"...

Had a similar case where they beat me to the city, then for some inexplicable reason, they popped right back out and started running off the other way, allowing me to catch them, I'm guessing they saw something they didn't like and the AI screwed up, telling them to run for it rather than stay, could have been me, my army was large enough, but I doubt they could even see me, as I had maxed out spotting on Borcha and could barely see them myself, not to mention I was too far away to be a threat, some war party did me a favour by accident I guess.

Oh ya, the charger missions are great, although I racked up 600,000+ on mine, not 400,000...kinda pissed me off though, I had a spare Charger, a Heavy one I was intending to keep for myself, forgot to put it in my horse slot before I reported back to the count though...bastard stole it and left me with some swaybacked reject in it's place...

I'm still new to the swadian's, and I just got a get me 12 warhorses quest... man... I am sooo bankrupt right now, sitting there with just 4 of them... If only I hadn't bought that full set of black armor two days back.

well, what's the big deal about failing a quest, huh? the fun of the game is in the combat, isn't it?

That's really annoying - but awlpikes exist, they're not a totally fictional weapon. They seldom appear in armouries... erm... they're a favourite of Swadian Sergeants... err?
