Solutions for Competant AI?

I would argue the solution to most problems in this game is a solid, reasonable AI. The AI should not discriminate other targets and gun it for the player. The AI should not be used as a means to challenge the player, but to challenge everyone in Calradia, which would logically include the player. A Kenshi approach to Bannerlord will make the game feel more organic and less artificial, as the world will be more meaningful and our actions will have real consequences. Its incredibly rewarding, knowing we aren't being singled out becuase we're the player, but becuase, as an entity, we are a legitimate threat to an AI nation or army. Entities in Bannerlord should be rewarded and broken because of their actions, not as a means to "raise difficulty".

Hopefully TW releases more mod tools so that modders can implement.

Love the Game Kenshi but idk...Kenshi is kenshi and bit more complex since its not the same as MnB in its structure

PS on your Titel something interesting to add just randomly ...Even if its just philosophy .

I agree. But the one crucial thing I think Bannerlord needs is to not priortize the player or discriminate in favor of the player. Kenshi fleshed that out really well. But yeh, its very different.

I don't think the AI prioritizes the player.
I seems like it because if you start a faction with low power level you are a easy target.
Likewise as a vassal you are given newly changed fiefs that an enemy wants back and are placed in more vulnerable locations, though slightly smaller garrison/militia is probably #1 reason AI attacks them 1st..
The AI cares about the power level of fiefs and factions mostly.

I'm okay if they add features to make the AI prioritize the player in some situations though as this can compensate for the player being able to put together map stats that the AI can't and other strategy that's beyond the AI. Of course this would be useful to have them prioritize any faction getting too big too though.

I also think it be cool if because of your reputation some High tier troops or lords would actively target you in live battle too, like they're out for glory or revenge! pie in the ****ing sky

Couldnt get into Kenshi but i appreciate what its going for. And the sentiment is understood by many gamers but apparently not many Devs, in that -We want a world that reacts to what we do in an interesting and enjoyable way. let them hate us, love us, be indifferent, talk down toous or praise us" but let them react realistically. Like my theatre trained Wifee always says "ACTING IS REACTING". Without proper world and provincial reactions everything will feel meaningless leaving a nihilistic fanbase :/

It's been said by devs before that the ai doesn't target the player. It may feel like it because as the new kid on the block your kingdom is going to be the weakest so people are going to go after you, but they're not looking at the players kingdom any differently than they look at a weak npc faction.

The AI does not target the player at all IMO. I have created my own kingdom with only one fiefs and nobody has declared war on me. Then I recruited two clans and got two new fiefs and same result. The problem is when you overextend.

You also only see what the AI does to you, so it feels like it's full on. If you saw what the AI was doing to everyone else it wouldn't seem so centralized.

I feel like the AI focuses on Sturgia more than it focuses on me tbh
LOL I was about to say this.

Back after a 3 month hiatus, decide to try help Raganvad the ungrateful conquer Calradia... Vlandia instantly starts dominating their ass with 2 castles and 2 towns gone after 3 in game months. If that wasn't bad enough, Battania decides to join the fun.

Sturgia is still the kid at school everyone picks on.

I dont feel targeted by AI, in fact when im attacking in a siege, and I run behind the enemy stationed at the gate with my 2 handed axe and start killing 3 enemies per swing, they generally ignore me and let me have my fun.

Yeah i try to avoid that one to because its not fair..:Sometimes they turn around so i think its in the works as ive seen improvements every patch...But it can be dangerous to, especially as they have the spawn there
