Soldier's skills

Helle everybody,

I am trying to find a list of existing soldiers in the native mod. I want to make a little but efficient army, so I am tryng to select the best kind of soldiers for each work (infantry, cavalery and archer).

I've looked in the game's files but, I haven't found whot I search for. Do you know where I could find such informations?

And please excuse my english speaking, I use to speak and talk french.

Archers: Vaegir Marksmen or Rhodok Sharpshooters. The Vaegirs will fire faster, the Rhodoks have better armour and melee abilities.

I'd say Swadian Sharpshooters if they didn't die everytime they tried to reload. When reloading, their heads face forward so the enemy gets a perfect headshot.

They're comparable at range, but I take the Rhodok sharpshooters because they also have decent equipment to fight in melee if needed. Also, they train faster and I'm lazy.

swadian infantry is waay better than a nord trained footman.

Swadian Infantry is also a tier higher than the Trained Footman. Nord Trained Footman = Swadian Footman. Swadian Infantry = Nord Warrior.

i thought the norm was to stuff your army full of either huscarls or swadian knights, then steamroll over everybody else in the game 

If you want a balanced army, then you will probably do slightly worse than if you just had one powerful unit (50 swadian knights could kill around 100 + other units if the other units had around the same amount of exp spread around them)

then again, just having a balanced army will benefit you more in the long run and you will probably enjoy it more.
nord huscarls, swadian knights, vaegir archers are the "best" units to have, but it would be interesting to see a Khergit/Rhodok/other faction combination, as the khergits are super light skirmishers and the rhodoks are defensive by nature. just use whatever suits you best.

Frankly, I think Rhodok Sergeants are underrated. They can be better than Nord Huscarls in some situations, and they're a helluva lot cheaper. Not to mention that you can get them much faster than you can huscarls.
Kherghit Veteran Horse Archer= best ranged unit
Nord Huscarl and Rhodok Sergeants= best infantry units
Swadian Knights and Khergit Lancers= best cavalry units

sword sisters are also worth the price and what you say about the sergeants is totally true. By the way did you know that you could improve your soldiers by using cheats too? I once created an army of überpowered farmers just by talking to them about their skills and then pressing a zillion times ctrl+x.

Yeah, I almost forgot about Sword Sisters. They might actually be the best unit in the game (or at least one of the best), but they're a pain in the ass to recruit and train.

well it depends, in the inferno mod when you have a village just go recruit some and if you havent enough just click again and the number of recruits available is random :p

Yeah, they're fantastic, but they have to fight their way through 4 crappy spearman levels before they get to be Sergeants.
