true but for so big terain you need around 18-20 lords got 12 , and i can use patrols i know but than il make no profit , but my kingdom is growing and il make it difficulter than :p
try making enterprises in all the cities, it will really BOOOOST your income. Then try to participate in tournaments as much as possible (and winning ofcourse )
then try to give your lords some extra money, this seems to boost their party sizes, without costing a weekly pay to you, plus alows them to improve their fiefs more.

Having to deal with the evil Villianese, that had given us trouble in the past, led to an evolution of tactics.
Borrowing from their neighbours, meet the new Antaria's Mounted Infantry division! Not pictured here: Antarian infantry who are running in just behind the mounted troops. Using horse to shield the foot with their bodies and shields as well as provide momentum to a head-on charge and of course intimidation is only one way to use these forces.
It was only a matter of time before the inevitable happened. The Villianese would not hold to the ceasefire, and thus we were forced to disarm them by use of force.
A real pity that we also removed some of their actual arms...
Another use of the mounted infantry. Here they attack the enemy from the side or rear, as more conventional foot attack by the most direct means. This massive bandit army is about to be "disarmed".
The Rhodoks, from far away, somehow decided to disturb our mission. We were forced to dispatch them.
They were more than prepared to face an Adenian cavalry charge. However, they did not expect for the horse to only walk into their formation - and when they saw the massive two handed weapons of the foot in their midst, it was too late.
We had ... misunderstandings with a Swadian force. A little friendly fire. Here you can see some of the foot rushing ahead of the horse, who were not to lead the way.
By the way, we were forced to evict the Villianese from one of their illegal settlements in the Ceasefire area.
This was totally legitimate. As part of our continued presence in the area, this town would act as a staging ground for future justified uses of force in the area.
Well, here come the Villianese. 7 Lords descend upon our base camp. However, their leader can be picked off, which will surely throw them into disarray and confusion.
The second round went similarly. They attempted to form in a dense formation but with relatively light infantry and archers, this only delayed their deaths for as long as it took for the infantry to walk up to their formation.
We will next purge Mulanog, where the Villianese forces are suspected to be equipped and trained in secret camps. It is important to remove their planned hardpoints of Adeh and Lagadim Castles, if possible.
We have discovered where all the "bandits" are coming from. It's Villianese in disguise! We will deliver a through purging!
By the way, when both armies form up into long loose lines during a duel? It makes the enemy really weak to something like cavalry. They are getting ripped up less than a minute after the duel ends.
Also, if you can catch an enemy near one of their villages, the "assisting" villagers will fill up their army slots, often taking up 1/2 to 1/3 of their force, making attacking them much esier!
We continue to inflict horrendous losses on the oncoming Villianese. One point to be aware of is that you can't shoot though a shield held (but not raised) however it seems you can thrust a melee weapon through it.
Small typo. Should be "You're no match for me."
Wait, WHAT. Oh... it's a town garrison.
No wait, I'm friendly ! I'm on a charger too ~~~
Having your troops on TOP of the AI's spawn point can be good or bad. Mainly, if your horsemen have the elite infantry spawn on them, you're GOING to lose some.
On the other hand, with the Villianese, it's even more likely they sharpshooters and chiefs will spawn with your horsemen in their face. Or even if they pull out infantry, your own Antarians are right in there with them. Slaughter.
Some point in the midst of all this, some idiot Adenese wandered into the demilitarized zone and attacked our military base in Mulanog.
We would be able to engage three groups of them at once, possibly removing the issue for a while.
And yes, one of those idiots was their own king. Well, it's time for a real fight. Lances, here we ...
What were you drinking? (I guess he got stuck and dismounted). As you can imagine the duel was over fairly quickly.
Oh thanks, you made me very proud
Ohh I just realized we're a little off topic. So let me remedy that:
I am planning to conquer all the Ponavosa with my merchant army, like jews. In here we are conducting a secret meeting in the Applegrove. My consultant is recommending me to invest money on apples on applegrove. According to his financial report, Applegrove has many growing apple farms.
And the mother guy here is my accounter. He is presenting me the weekly revenue report.
Hmm, we have a bigger profit this week as it seems.
Edit: I hope you don't skip the texts between images. I know they are hard to notice, but give it a try eh
With the tenacity to be expected of fanatics, the Villianese extremists continue their fight. The Flower Kingdom's mounted infantry formations have gotten well trained in "approach under missile attack" maneuvers.
I really liked this one. From the crossbowmen in the very front stopping to aim their weapons to the obvious line of horsemen about to begin a charge. The Villianese are due another thrashing.
Even though they don't carry big two handed weapon, don't underestimate the Antarian Guard and Rhodok Sergeants !
A nice shot of the rare Flower Kingdom missile line. (I gave the troops to Lord Udon later, he comes from Marianan lands).
The stomping of Villianese faces continues. The shielded charger-riding plate-wearing mounted infantry continue to wreak intimidating losses on the enemy.
The enemy tries to strike a brave blow against your capital. They can't be allowed to just walk away from this.
The Nords are passing though again. Like the Swadians, they have been friends forever, and I definitely think they're going to give someone a good beating.
Great screenshots and I love the narrative. When I test I don't have time to track this kind of play, so it's really neat to see someone put the effort into tracking this stuff.
Small point:
Gonfalons are banners held from the top. In the duel text issue described above, the gonfalon is obscuring the text.
It's picky, but it's kind of cool to know at the same time. Great article on heraldry here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heraldic_flag
It can lead you into finding gems like this: "Move as swift as a wind, stay as silent as forest, attack as fierce as fire, undefeatable defense like a mountain."
This is by NO MEANS unusual. Mind you, Bolion is a forward position of the Flower Kingdom, it has (I think) the full compliment of 30 archers, 25 Elite and 75 Veteran Infantry. But of course the AI can overrun them in autoresolve, so getting there in time is KEY !
Usually they don't come for a second try, but hey, 130 defenders against 814 is still good odds for the attackers, right?
Now they break. We run out to find out all the Adenian horsemen have died on our walls, so we just trample all their foot troops. And that's an Adenian campaign crushed, excellent.
Lords seem to like joining me of their own account. This is the second, I believe.
Somehow the Villianese don't get it, I guess it's a better bet than being trampled in the open field. Not that great an option though.
Stomping on more Villianese.
This is a pretty brave assault. Instead of gonig for the weaker Ashberry, they went for Mulanog instead. Interesting choice and a fairly massive army.
What could possibly have gone wrong with their plan...
