Hey there!

This is a small mod for SOD 3.0B with the beta patch 1.

Changes:
-Adenians are all refitted and outfited with Narf's Rus Armour pack.
-Nobles have leadership skills.
-Polished Landscapes.
-Specialists.(such as surgeons you can put in a patrol to increase it's survival rate, lords use these specialists aswell)
-Companions are very powerfull.(I decided to make them powerfull as a personal preferance, I have been playing m&b since the beginning of time and have gotten a bit tierd of always having to re-level my companions with every new patch/mod)
-Off-World lords can maintain a very large army.(Enables you to take on more land without having to rely on recruiting pesky native lords!)
-Some other features I can't remember.

The Adenians have a good variety of weapons; blunt, axes, swords, spears, lances, throwing, bows.
The Adenians look alot alike eachother and have almoust no random armor, I like it this way, I enjoy a good disciplined unit with similar equipment.
Only the "Regulars" are slightly "randomised".

ALWAYS BACKUP!

Just extract all the files from the SOD Mini Mod folder into your driveC:/Programs/Mount & Blade Warband/Modules/SOD_TC_V3.0B folder.

If you lag alot because of polished landscapes just take the flora_kinds.txt from the _ALTERNATIVE folder and drop it into your data folder.

If you ONLY want the specialists go into the _ALTERNATIVE folder and see the SOD Specialists map. READ the troop lines.txt for install!

Here is an alternative troops.txt, it adds one more armour variation to the Adenians. And make the Adenian nobles mounted again, also lower the stats of most adenian troops. And changes to the specialists.
It's optional but if you want it, download and put the troops.txt in your sod folder:
driveC:/Programs/Mount & Blade Warband/Modules/SOD_TC_V3.0B folder.

Great work Exitialis! A link to this page has been added to the info page.
Thanks!

Also I almost forgot to give credits!
Credits go to Computica and the SOD mod team for their GREAT mod!
Credits also goes to the creator of Polished Landscapes.
And credits to Narf and those who helped him for his Rus Armor pack.

This is the first release. I hope it's bugless but there are some weird things that can happen with polished landscapes such as northern climate trees in town desert scenes and trees sticking up at weird places in towns.
But it shouldn't be too common!

I have been playing it myself for quiet a while (144 in game days) and have yet to come across something gamebreaking.

EDIT: I also recommend getting the SoundRound-ing mod! (http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?topic=109401.0) for increased immersion!

Looks great and comes at a good time for me as i just reverted back to 1.134 and lost my 600 days save  it just so happen i went with adenian too

Get a gmail account and periodically email your save game to yourself: especially when an update comes!

 yeah wished i made a backup first but live and learn i guess . If i could suggest something regarding the mod, would be  another mod that would go along with it perfectly, to make troops into companions if anything the new troops would come in handy.I couldn't track it down but its used in the mini mod for Floris 2.41.

Aside from that I'm loving it so far but was it intentional to remove horses from the adenian Noble's ?

Well this certainly looks like an interesting way of spicing up my new campa-

Uh, something appears to be wrong.

I can't seem to play it, the "SOD_Armors.brf" seems to be corrupted in some way, even after re-downloading it.

Ditto. I also noted that the Megaupload download was hilariously slow - maybe they're having some sort of problem? Try Rapidshare instead, maybe.

I had a few problems at first because one folder is named differently, the original from Sod is resource while the one in the pack is resources.Other than that i copy pasted the rest manualy group by group and everything works fine for me.

Maybe I'm the only one who doesn't get how to take advantage of them though since their troops i don't think the party benefits from their skills at least for engineer and world map skills.Aside from that I'm loving it so far but was it intentional to remove horses from the adenian Noble's ?
Ah yes, it was intentional to remove the horses from the nobles, made them "varied" infantry instead, so they may appear with either 2h, bow, throwing, 1h. They always have shield.
I have had thoughts of making it random if they have horses or not, but that might cause tactical and formation problems for players.
As to the benefit, are you sure the party don't benefit from the engineer? He has trade and engineering, should be a noticeable effect when you are besieging the enemy.
Or when buying things.
Is he a master engineer? Might be that he is a novice and his effect is unnoticeable.

Glad you like it so far!

Hmm do you guys have the 3.0b and the b1 patch for sod installed?
Also I don't know if it might cause a problem, but I play with Warband version 1.134, have you guys updated yours to 1.142? That might be the problem.

I simply copied all the files I use myself, and I'm playing without an error.
Might also be megaupload causing problems, so I will upload it to some different sites.

Side note; The One religions Paladin faith troop has adenian armour.

Oh! How stupid of me!
Fixing now and reuploading!

Also a side note; All faith troops of "The One" has Adenian armour. And the Paladin faith troop is actually dismounted.
If you want a great strong knight use your companion, as they are VERY strong

I tried the engineer for upgrading a castle he was master engineer and had higher skill higher than my companions and it had no effect on cost or time.I haven't tried the trade skill yet for shopping il get right on that.

If i could suggest one more thing though as far as companions go would be to make a few customizable for things like surgery or engineer to reach the 9-10, great work on them though i to am really tired of leveling them every game i play as i usually get bored of a game and start a new one as a different faction / religion.

While i haven't tried giving one to a lord to see if it improved siege's or not it is a fairly new game so il keep you posted.

I have been thinking of lowering the levels of companions to 20 or 30 to make sure you can still customize them, and have all companions 10 in fighting skills and 5 in every other, that way you can make them into what ever you want, with relative ease as they will level up pretty quickly since they are good fighters.
Would that be a good idea?

Or should I give them 5 in fighting skills aswell, as to not make them too powerfull?

Your call really both seems fine to me eventually Sod should be compatible with tweakmb and the companions bickering will be gone, for now i edited a few to have someone specialized in surgery and engineering.

I wouldnt lower the level of companions like lezalith or matheld since their future lords imo that training skill will come in handy.

This is an interesting add-on. I haven't had much time to check it out but at first sight you made a good job with it, Exitialis. Sure the new features have some bugs but this happens in every mod, the only question is whether they can be fixed or not.

About the Adenians, I have a feeling they will be slightly overpowered in your mini-mod  but you did a fair work regarding the equipment, they indeed look coherent and uniformed, though I personally prefer less random weaponry and more armor options (not that many, just 2-3 on average), but then again it's your mod.

You deserve congratulations for your effort so far mate, keep it up

OMG the Adenian's are my favourite and this mini mod has fixed a crash that stopped me from playing! Thank you so much!

EDIT I do find the nobles lack of horses a strange is there a way to change that?

Yes right now it seems that the engineer is completely useless, don't know what I will do with him right now, I will figure something out.
As to the armor, I have been thinking of also adding the native lamellar armour to the mix.

Yes they are slightly overpowered, I intend to fix that in my next version by lowering all fighting skills by 1 for all the normal troops, nobles stay the same.
In my own campaign I have been fighting the nords only and I really crushed them, it was a little bit too easy, however when I faced the Villianese I almost got slaughtered, so it's a bit 50/50.
But I still think I'm going to lower their skills a little.

I fixed a crash?
Glad you like it so far!

Due to popular demand (2 people ) I might bring back horses to the Adenian Noble's and make them mounted units again.
EDIT: See first page for a new troops.txt
