So where are these armors?

You never see these armors in shops, smitty or not:

banded_leather_over_mail
coat_of_plates_over_mail
lordly_mail_mitten

There is a vast selection of armor that must be being suppressed from showing up in shops. It may also be suppressed from showing up as loot as well.

I would like a coat of plates in black with a side order of lordly mail mittens please!

They supposedly fixed this issue, but I have so far seen little evidence of said fix in either of my campaigns.

You do get more mail armor if there is a smitty in a town. It is mostly tier 4 mail though. The coat of plates that I want is never available.

I would tend to agree with this observation. Weapons also seem much more rare outside certain settlements (maybe those with a smithy?). I've visited towns with ZERO weapons available for sale.

yep. This is driving me nuts, I've built a smithy in my town specifically to get the heavy armors and basically poured unlimited resources to make the town better, always making sure they have a metric _ ton of food, hardwood and iron ore, upgrading everything to tier III and recruiting a high lvl steward to run it, and it's just not working out. The only way to get heavy armor right now is to strip your wife for it...

I have at least seen Lordly Mail Mittens in shops from time to time.

But I also try to get a Northern Helmet Closed and know the problem. I had two of them in my first playthrough, and everytime when I'm in Sturgia I look in every single town, but after years searching for it I never found a single one. I know for sure I bought both in shops during my first playthrough. ?

It's okay that I have to look around for rare equipment, but to literally never find it really annoys me. All the money in the world can't get you what you want when it's nowhere offered for sale... ?

It would be nice to have armours custom made once you have enough wealth to afford it, so we don't have to pray it spawns in shops that are, invariably, impossibly limited in terms of choice.

That one is better that all the normal mail in the game.

The other one I like that you see on the Vlandian Banner Knight:

These are just two that stand out as better armor that never seem to be available at the shops in Vlandia.

Yes, I don't understand why this is still happening, but it's incredibly frustrating.

Latest update just loaded and now I can get Legionary armour. !00k though. And an Imperial Lords helmet(didn't notice actual name) that is just short of a million (995K)??????
