Anyone who believes that should try for a moment to make any complaint on a game forum about the treatment of women. Be it from complaining to the absence of women in a game or them being dressed inapropriately or being given over stereotypical roles, any complaint is met with a stream of abuse by men, jokes, accusation of *****ing or attention whoring, and generaly not taken in any way seriously except by a minority of people. It is even sadder when forum moderators actually support the attitude, as they seem to do here.

A simple complaint and request to include females in a game that used to have them ends up in accusations of whining by a mod and a stream of ignorant misogynism. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

I don't believe any of the askers acted any better.
Look at this thread, for one. The sole purpose of it is to insult/humiliate people who do not particularly agree with what you do. And keep in mind this forum is probably made up of 90% men. It's not unheard of that there are some unpleasant people in a group of what, a huge amount of registered accounts?

Oh Im quite sure most of the guys don't agree, but they do allow the misgynists to flame the forums and get away with portraying their view as that of the majority by failing to say anything, which is bad in itself.
