Bandits, they make me so mad , why would 20 of them think it necessary to pick on 1 lone stranger that they have already, Stolen his horse, nicked his boots, robbed his jacket, why? I was dirt poor, please, change there mechanics to something that make it fair on the people they have picked on.

With the changing of the mechanics, 20 bandits should angle for a party of 10, not 1 lone man. I don't understand there reasoning.
People are always talking about having 100k and 5 castle, i don't see how you got there when i party of 20 sea raiders attacks you and you lose everything.

Lords ask you to do jobs like capture prisoners in exchange for theirs, i cant accept these quests because i have no mean of getting the troops and Armour/weps i need to complete the jobs.

Bandits continuously make me create a new game, i started SP with dream of my own kingdom and people serving me, Yet, i cannot see how i can achieve this.

What im saying is, Bandits should be remade to target what would be correct and not ruin the game for a single man that has already lost his boots and horse.

Thanks bruz, Lol yeah me so mad, What board should this be on?, i was looking for some rant forum.

Please post if you think the mechanics should be changed or if they are fine.

The game is fine, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to outrun a party of twenty sea raiders on your own, even on foot. Steppe bandits are another matter entirely.

Don't go fighting sea raiders first off as they're one of the harder parties, work your way up hunting looters and low level deserters. And stop trying to take jobs from Lords at Level 1, of course you can't complete any of them, you can't even tackle a ragtag bunch of vikings, let alone a kingdom army. Speak to the Guild Master in town instead, they'll usually have some more appropriate things for you to do.

Also, this board is for discussing the running of the forums, for future reference stuff like this belongs in "The Guildhall - Warband Discussion".

I don't think they should be changed, really. While it may seem odd for 20 bandits to chase one person, times are hard in Calradia, and if they can grab you to sell you, then they will. It's all about opportunity. And being able to run like the wind.

Trade a little iron between Curaw and the neighbouring towns, like Reyvadin to get your first few thousands denars, then you might want to continue trading or do tournaments, depending on what you like better. Getting money is the first step, then hire mercenaries with them, preferable Mercenary Cavalry/Horsemen. Then you can kick bandit ass.

You can easily outrun bandits if you are on your own. It's not the game that's wrong here, but your actions.

If you are in Sea Raider territory alone (army of 1), you'd better be mid-to-high-level and geared well, so that you can solo the entire party.  If you are there near the beginning of the game, you're in the wrong area.

That's one of the mistakes I made when first learning M&B:WB - I started in Sarranid territory solo, and was handed around as a prisoner so many times I can't mention.  They are difficult areas, sometimes even with an army of 20.

Take the advice given, go do easier quests in easier areas, or trade in easy areas until you gather a retinue of fighters to protect you.

Yeah, either way, M&B:W is a bit of a serial rapist when you start out, or even whenever you're not at 100% effectiveness. You'll get back at the game later on, as I'm sure you know by now...
