Oh dear. Are you going to stick with the Vaegirs? Might be best to jump ship at the earliest opportunity! I hate it if my faction has the unhealthy habit of taking on new enemies when they are already getting beaten up...

Most of the time when I do decide to leave a faction it is because of just that... I am tired of the constant fighting. It is actually fairly rare that I leave because I had a fit over not getting a fief I wanted (actually the reason I left the last time I played Vaegirs...)

If I do leave however I am not going to go about running off to join another faction... I will either find the claiment and take up his quest, or I will rebel myself and take the Vaegir lands for my own.
