Apparently Armagan pretty much stated that he would rather have it this way than new forumers writing complaints on there being so much cursing."

And? Why should the devs care about a bunch of internet randomers? It's irritating but you can always go find another forum if it bothers you so much.

Yes you can, but don't expect to get anywhere. None of us have any rights here even if we have purchased the game. The admins tell people that on a regular basis.
I don't think this is a good decision m'self, but I can't say I care enough about my ability to swear on the internet to bother to moan. Those who are here for M&B will stay, those who are here for the OT community and really upset about not being able to swear will move to another forum. This whole thing will eventually die down and business will continue as usual.
Can't imagine it'll have any effect on their sales. How many potential customers will look at the forum before they buy the game, and then base their purchase on whether they can swear or not? As I said above, people will strop and leave and everything will die down eventually. We may loose some good people but that doesn't matter to the devs one jot.
I don't care about the swearing, I will feel sad if useful community members leave, but none of these argument will hold much water for the devs.

If we see a mass exodus of modders, that would be cause for community members to be concerned. Doesn't seem to be the case at the moment however, the vast majority of those complaining are those who spend virtually all their time in off topic. Modding tends to need a certain amount of dedication, and if that dedication is destroyed by the addition of a swear filter to forum of the game your modding for, it's likely you're not going to produce anything anyway. I could still go over to MBX if I was incredibly bothered by it as well.
Note how I said community there. We may be concerned, but I'm not sure the devs would care too much about a decrease in the number of mods. Once again, I've seen various admins arguing against those who say M&B needs mods to survive.
I'd like to reiterate before I get leapt on by various people who dislike reading and comprehending posts that my own personal view is that this is a disappointing decision, but it doesn't bother me enough to take a stand. I'm simply pointing out that the devs really have no reason to care about the hoo-ha it's created.

I've been here a while. I do know and understand that, but this is simply part of Taleworlds becoming a larger and more professional company. Of course it's going to become more impersonal.
