So about the font Mordred

I would like to use the font that is being used for town names f.e. for upcoming projects.
Unfortunately, their seems to be maybe some copyright issues here. I am a little picky and I hate everything where I have to give credit or can't use commercially... most of the time.
Therefore, I have a few sources to choose from and I am at a dead-end right now and need help.

Apparently, this font has been made by a person named Paul Reid. Is this pretentious or for real?

Did Paul Reid sell the rights to the font? Or is this an illegal source?
Now, I would go immediately for this source usually, but I got some doubts now. Could anyone help here?

I have no idea but I’ve got to say the kerning on that r is just ****ed so hard I don’t ever want to see it anywhere ever. If the terminal of the r reached any higher up we’d be resupplying the iss with it and elon musk would be out of business.

The ugliness of that r is more tragic and revolting than the typeface’s namesake.

I’m sure someone could make a better looking one......

IIRC Mordred was also used in Warband. TW has used it for a very long time.
