All items in the game are sold at random. Just travel from town to town to increase your chances of finding what you're looking for. Not sure the exact price, but the cracked one i'm looking at here costs 715. So i would assume a regular one would cost around 900ish. Now, we are glad to have you on the forums, but it seems that with alot of your posts, the questions could be answered with some simple experimentation in the game, or by searching the forums a little. If we all started a new thread for every question we ever had...the site would crash Happy posting!

The Sniper Crossbow is good at close range and still seems to cause good damage from far away i sniped a swadian man at arms with it and took him off his horse from about 50 metres away

I haven't found any good use for the sniper crossbow. It's pretty good when you run out of prisoners, ale and sumpter horses though, so you can shoot those warhorses with it. And oh yeah, it's pretty hard to do with a sword, those plates are damn thick! I broke my reinforced broadsword (the ideal sword along with falchion to chop heads with, I always carry one for those pesky river pirates just in case they don't happen to have ones of their own) trying to hit it broken, and after that, I hit my head to the wall so bad that my great helmet suddenly became a "battered great helmet."

Luckily, you can also create throwing double-sided axes, so no need to pay gazillions for that strange swadian equipment.

Maybe I really should sleep more... Waddya peoples think?
