Since tech support questions were actually cluttering the main download thread and the bug report thread, I am opening this stickied one so you can ask questions about crashes to desktop, installation problems and such things.
SmurfInHell has volunteered to watch this topic , though I'll be personally taking a close look at it.
 
Would i need to copy the whole rgl log or just some part of it since i've been  having frequent ctd's lately.

Might want to put most of it. I just suggest a spoiler to reduce clutter.
 
At first glace there doesnt seem to be anything that bad except the lightning bolt error near the end oh well let me know what you think.

I really don't see anything of notice except the RAM bit I told you about.
Are you using battle size changer or have you modified the mod files in any way?
 
I was using battle sizer but since ive had problem i reverted to the 150 default max. I did change some things but it mostly has to do with units stats cattle behavior etc using tweak mb w/ 1.153 as a base for the tweaks.

Ive also made undeads upgrade able until knights im not sure if anything on them might be causing problems but im guessing its the few elven troops i have ( had to get rid of guardians earlier in my games since they kept crashing me) .As for the ram i have 4 gig im not sure why it only shows 1, im using win 7 ultimate so theres no way i would have only 1 (plus their dirt cheap )
 
Why are people having problems downloading it. Downloading from Nexus is fast and easy. The file is not corrupted at all.

For Notsure I think it's all about the RAM. Do you have any RAM restriction or what since 1gb ram is simply not possible considering you're using Win7 Ultimate.

Im not having problems DOWNLOADING it, im having problems extracting the files, whenever i try it has an error trying to extract 1500 files...saying it cant open it, its probably because im using winrar which is why im asking if i have to use 7zip or does winrar work
 
Yeah...just clearing this up for everyone, Winrar wont work at all for extracting it, i got 7zip (its free, etc etc) and its working now

Edit: Okay it EXTRACTED good....but now my warband is being stupid...i load it and i go to change the module and i dont see anything except native, i go into the file on my comp where the module is supposed to be and i dont see the file for this mod, but when i go to try to extract it again i see all of the files in there...this is my first time getting a mod for this game and i need help .-.

You probably extracted the file to some other system location. Maybe it is in Native or the main Warband folder?
You could search for the Phantasy folder and see where it went.
 
I fixed it a couple minutes ago, forgot to post it xD i moved the file i needed to extract to a folder that had nothing in it, extracted it there then just moved the file and its working now. There is a couple glitches i would like to report :grin:, i got a quest from the mage leader to go to lyindah to execute this guy (the ones where you find the "nervous man") but when it said to go find him, it said he was at tosdhar, and the quest name was to find him at tosdhar, the description says he was at lyindah. Also i cant join the elfs because it thinks im a she when im obv a male, and they cant give fiefs to a female >_>
 
I dont have a limitation to the ram allocated to warband that i know of. The good news is i think the crash were caused by the elven units since ive stashed them i havent had a single crash, partially my fault i was under the assumption only certain units were causing problem but they all do in my case.
 
Hmm... I don't know if this post goes here, but I'm having a lot of crashes to desktop and I don't know why. It normally occur when I'm in a siege and there is some fireball animation going on. I'm not 100% sure if it is that what is causing it, though. I'm in day 550+ and so far I've played without any problem nor CTD's. It's annoying. My computer is not a super machine, but I've played many many many warband mods and other games without any problem. What I do is just lower the video details and it normally goes swift.

I don't know what should I provide to help you guys help me. My savegame? any other log file?

The only thing that I use that is not vanilla is battlesizer with 300 units. But, as I said, that was not a problem until now.

Ps.: I just saw the post of "Siege Crashes" and the tweak to put 200 units by the user Notsure, I'll try that to see if it helps...
 
What factions have you faced up until recently? If you've had standoffs with the magocracy multiple times up to this point then that should not be a problem. Could you tell us a bit more about the siege? Troop compositions of both sides, numbers, anything really. Log files may be useful, but with so little known about the problem and other variables it could be largely useless until we know what is causing the problem.
 
I am thinking the elven armor taken from TLD is what's causing the trouble. I have noticed them lagging the game somewhat, even when loading the armor images at the shop. perhaps it would be a good idea to replace those models with a few new ones. I do love the models, but if they're buggy, they should be replaced or fixed somehow.
For those who have been having CTDs, I suggest you stop using the battle size changer and see how the game runs.
150 troops at a time (vanilla's maximum) is not THAT bad, is it?
