SP - General Smithing is weird.

First off, it's strange that javelins are magic. Somehow a weapon that you can make with low level trash will level your smithing instantly, unlock tons of recipes, level your character, and sell for outlandish prices, this making you so rich that the economy ceases to exist for you.

If that's in there as a shortcut to get people to the mid and end game so they can test stuff then great, but I hope the final release is better balanced.

Also, a couple of smithing suggestions.

First, having to leave the smithy to get wood is dumb. There should be a link to buy it if it's available.

Second, it's frustrating to if you want to save a certain smithing recipe you have to write it on paper. There should be an option to keep track of what you've done in-game.

The last suggestion is about searching through all the encyclopedia entries. If there's a way to click your way through all the characters or towns or whatever I can't find it. Having to go to the list, click the entry, then go back to the list to get to the next one is really clunky.

And finally there's the post last idea. It would be cool if you could choose to train any recruit in your faction's way of fighting. So when you level up a peasant you could choose to follow the tree from their faction or to train them in yours so they'd just follow your advancement tree. There could be an increased cost and/or an XP rate modifier to simulate cultural differences. For example, training southern desert guys in the western desert guy faction wouldn't be much more costly/slower but it would cost a mint and take an age to turn a viking guy into a horse archer.

That's it.
