Resolved Smithing: Crafted to order specifications, NPC unsatisfied

Summary: I was doing a crafting order in Ortongard, I noticed the default weapon parts were very close to the specifications, so I made a small adjustment and forged, but the NPC wasn't happy with it and only gave me a quarter of its worth
How to Reproduce: Not positive, could have to do with leaving default pieces
Have you used cheats and if so which: no cheats, but I did have a mod that allows resting until smithing stamina is fully recovered
