So, here´s a little tutorial about making an axe for mount&blade (mainly a tutorial about the blade....)..hope you like it killop5
At first, I highly recommend to use some concepts for modelling. It makes everything MUCH easier.

1.So, thats my concept for example:

2.A quick simple cylinder(12) (with some bevel etc..) is my handle

3.I skip the blabla here. Let´s start with the small side of blade. I created a box and formed it like that:

4.I extruded the selected poly in the pic above and moved the verts until I got a result that looks like that

5. Now I selected these edges:

and connected them 3 times and moved them

6.I selected these verts:

and I shaped the sharp part of the blade with them.

7.Then I changed the height of some of the verts to make the axe look better:

8.The small side is ok for now. Now I started with the big part of the blade. The steps are nearly the same as before, so I just post some pics now:

The sharp part of the axe is made in the same way as above

So, I´ve finished the half of the blade. I just have to mirror it:

There´s still one problem:

This is how I fixed it:

Well, that´s my way of making an axe blade and I don´t say it´s the best method

I used the technique of extruding a cube to match a background image to make all of the LOTR weapons in the pack I put together. I spent no more than 15 minutes on each of them, start to finish.

Excellent technique, and I'm glad you put it onto a tut for the new guys.
