Small question before I make my return...

It has been a good long time and I have missed this game so very, very much...

That being said, before I dive head first into my little vacation of skull smashing and poking out eyes with a bow I need to know.

There was a bug or glitch or whatever you want to call it before where lords of destroyed factions could still spawn and would spawn with little 1 man armies.

This always pissed me off because well... impossible to catch really and they never joined another faction they just kept respawning and harassing my villages.

What I need to know is if this has been fixed for 1.168 or if I have to track down the text fix for it.
 
If you make your own faction. Your gonna have to put all the lords under your command to stop that. That's what i did
It's probably fix tho.  Last time i completed a campaign was in 2013
 
I had that very problem with my last game, so I guess it isn't fixed.  I agree it's super irritating, and it's a bug.  I noticed them spawning when I know they had no where to spawn.  I could catch them if went down to just my 8 companions because they're all mounted, and I had a really high Pathfinding.  But you don't always want to take the time to do that. 
 
Yeah late game running with 8 companions is.... troublesome. If you get bored watching yourself chase that one man army and decide to hit space to speed things up bandits sometimes get you and then you are facing off against 50+ bandits with just you and your companions.


Usually winable but annoying none the less.

Current behavior allows lords of factions with no centers to respawn as you discuss, though they should defect within a week. For a few versions the defection bit was bugged, but that should no longer be. Given that the change in respawn behavior has persisted since version 1.143, I'm not sure if it is a bug or a "feature".

If that isn't sufficient, in my sig's .txt tweak link, the very first tweak in that post should prevent their respawn.
 
Well glad I didn't progress too far really... I mean I do hold a town and all but really just spent my time running amok on easy mode remembering how to play.

Guess time to apply your text fix (just to be safe) and crank up the difficulty a bit  :grin:

Wasn't this fixed in Diplomacy, though?
 
It may have been fixed in Diplomacy, though if it were it was in a version released after I had quit playing for a while.

Not sure if it is fixed in the newest latest greatest (slightly outdated) version of it as I already applied the "fix".
