Slower Wars and Rework Influence

Please balance out wars and the overall aggressiveness of nations. I feel like I'm racing against time trying to complete the campaign before any nation becomes too powerful. In only 70 days, 2 of my playthrough empires have been decimated. Also, influence is so hard to come by and unless I am trying to get support, why do I need to use it for voting? It seems like a waste of influence when I just want to vote yes or no. I don't see why I need the influence to say "Yea that law should pass" whenever the whole council already agrees.

Loving the game but I wish I wasn't so rushed to complete the storyline and grinding for renown to upgrade my clan tier.

I am having the same trouble regarding steamrolling but they are trying to fix that.

My problem with influence is how easily it can be gained by rulers.
From what I see rulers don't have to use their influence other than calling up an army or overruling a popular vote (this is when the fief that says will go to the X clan with 100% vote on it goes to the ruler with 0%. vote.). This makes it so after they reach a certain point there is no way of playing anymore. Ruler can take all the fiefs for themselves
and can pass all the policies that gives them more power and influence by themselves.

I think rulers should be losing influence for every vassal they have. This would make the game, in a way, more realistic. With kings trying to hold onto their influence and power and vassals trying to get their hands on it.

Tip: if you have fiefs try to pass the law where it gives you 1 influence for every notable character in your fiefs. This will make your liege a god-emperor though beware.

Please remember this is essentially Beta, that's what Early Releases are for. If you want completed mechanics and everything pretty much done you could come check back in about one year?
