The world is in ruin. With gravity fluctuating freely and diseases decimating the population, the United States has collapsed. The country is split into territories controlled by huge artificial extended families created by the government in the few years before it's demise. This is a roleplay based on the novel Slapstick by Kurt Vonnegut. I expect this to be very short-lived, but nonetheless great fun. Here are some of the factions. If others have read the book and want to contribute something please do so in your bio.
Kingdom of Michigan- hordes of soldiers ranging in skill from professional honor guards to armed peasants conscripted from any settlements under the King's control. A wide variety of infantry troops. Ruled by King Stewart Oriole-2 Mott
Great Lakes Pirates- hardened, cut-throat sailors from the Great Lakes. Ruthlessly effective and lethal. They can only be effective when they have their ships with them to provide support. Ruled by Admiral Theodore Seagull-19 Grant
Empire of the Southern Midwest- vast hordes of peasant soldiers that are led by strong, brute warriors. The grunts have hardly any military training, and any triumphs by the Imperial Army are won by numbers alone. And believe me, these numbers are massive. Governed by Emperor Jake Litium-4 Kowalski
Duchy of Oklahoma- well-supplied and relatively civil, they choose a stance of defense-only. They hold onto their territory and will defend it to the death. A relatively fearless group of soldiers loyal to Duke Richard Chickadee-14 Oswald
These are not the only factions, they are just some major ones. You could make a character that is the lord of your own home state of something. Anything goes, origin-wise. No god-modding or general cheating. Have fun! (Oh, and if you have a suggestion for a better name I am always open to suggestions.)
