Skirmish will not last one month in it's current state. I'm not goning to talk about the modes flaws right now, we'll do that later down the road.
The glame blew up. Lot's of big streamers giving/gave it a shot so you probably have more people now than you expected. That's ok.
You wanted skirmish to be your competetive mode, let's make it stand a chance in face of all the new players.
I'm currently (only skirmish) on 49 wins and 0 losses. This can't be good for the game.
We NEEEEEEED any kind of balancing, literally anything. New players are getting completly stomped right now in skirmish. I've mentioned this in beta already: having only a matchfinder won't do the job. New players get their ass kicked once, then twice... a 3rd match without standing a chance? Well, now they're gone. Winning these kind of matches isn't fun and just hurts the gamemode after all.
I know you're working on a proper matchmaking but we need something asap.
Possibly solutions:
1 - balancing lobbies based on players winrate and (or) k/d. I don't like the k/d tracker at all since it makes the people play for k/d, but might aswell use it when it's there. This will obviously not be perfect, but it's better than the current system. All we need is a bandaid for now.
2 - Cap the party size (ONLY SKIRMISH) at 2. This will give players the chance to carry matches while playing with their friends while also preventing alot of stomps. There'll still be one-sided matches but that's normal. Would be good if you could have duo qeues play against each other over them being on the same team.
I'd for sure prefer this over solution 1.
In addition to 2 perhabs you can enable a 6-party qeue where 6 stacks only play against other 6-stacks. Even if you need to wait 15 minutes for a match. Would be an appreaciated thing to have so you can play with 5 friends without worrying about the enemy teams new players that might never return.
I'd also like to see tutorials for MP since skirmish is new and siege got changed as well, but we can leave that for later.
