Skill issues

Hello thar. I was managing Lezalit's skills when I noticed that the description for the 'training skill' says: "each hero with this skill adds...". Each hero? Does this mean I can get recruits trained quickly if I have multiple heroes with the training skill?
Also, if the answer is yes, what other skills can be simultaneously used by multiple heroes?

Yes, training does stack. Most players use (all/most/some) heroes with trainer skill to fast-lvl new troops.

No other skill does stack to my knowledge.

As DooMJake said trainer is the only skill that stacks (it is a personal skill) but if you have levels in a group skill you give a bonus like
  • You have Surgery 2, Ymira has Surgery 3 -> you give a bonus of 1, you see Ymira has Surgery 3 (+1)
  • You have Surgery 2, no one else has the skill higher -> you give yourself a bonus of 1, you see you have Surgery 2 (+1)
The bonus increases up to +4 with skill level 10

Also note that with trainer it's not the skill levels that get added but the skill effect
If 3 heroes have trainer 3 it does not result in trainer 9 (65 exp) but in 16+16+16=48 exp for each troop with a lower level.

On top of that, remember that the bonus only works for your skills bonus being added to an NPC's. Having two NPC's with the same skill doesn't give a skill bonus to the one with the most skill points.

Although it occasionally worth having two NPC's with the same skill, for example first aid will usually bring your heroes up from red after a fight, meaning that they'll be able to use their skills again straight away. All those points in wound treatment are pretty useless if your healer is unconcious himself.

Best way I've seen it explained

My strategy is to get all party skills to at least 2. My character IS the party looter so his looting is 5 (+2)

Well, that settles that. Thank you От самой могущеcтвенной nation.

But...Is giving your companions levels in inventory management a total waste? I gave Jeremus some 4 or 5 levels in it and I've yet to see any extra space in my inventory.

The leader skills are of no use for companions, these are Inventory Management, Persuasion, Prisoner Management and Leadership.
In older versions heroes also had an inventory but now they only have the equipment slots.
