Recruit
Okay, this isn't really a bug or anything, but I just want to know what happeneded.

There was a manhunter group and swad deserters fighting, I joined in. After the battle, all manhunters died cept one got uncon, I'm not too sure about the Swads. Anyway, the manhunters had a group of 0/1. After taking the goods and them saying thank you, I approached them again. They usually go "Have you seen bandits around here?" or so, but this time a trade window popped up for party. It was like this.

Swad Crossbow Me
Swad Crossbow

Prisoner 0/0
manhunter

I could put the swads in my party, and take the manhunter prisoner, but I had no prisoner capture skills so I couldn't. Could someone possibly explain what happened? I'm thinking since they were 0/1 they were counted as dead or defeated so I could do that as in those scenarios when a party is dead of defeated you can take the prisoners they had in your party and take the party's members as prisoner. But are groups of 0/1 suppose to show on the world map?

With no prisoner management skill, you can't take any enemies prisoner, but you can "capture" rescued prisoners into your party.

Huh... if I'm reading it right, then (not sure I am, though) it seems similar to a bug that was already "fixed". Guess we have to wait for the final word from Armagan.

almost on the same topic.

I would like to take prisoners from other groups.

I have a mission get 5 vaiger horseman, If i see a group that has 5 vaeger horseman prisoner and I kill the whole group, I should have the choice to either add them to my army OR keep them prisoner under me.

Yup, 0.623.

And Ferox, the idea is that if you beat someone up, their not likely to join you, and more likely to stab you in your sleep, which is why you take them prisoner.

I think you have it reversed or something

Im just talking about units that were already prisoners of the group I just beat up. You can already have then join your army, but I would like to also keep them as prisoners.

I came across something similar (version 0.623). I noticed a stack/group of farmers/peasants under attack by River Pirates, so I valiantly came to the rescue.

After defeating the River Pirates, the farmers/peasants had only one member left alive although that farmer had been knocked unconcious during the battle. So that means that party was at 0/1. Now that party included some captured River Pirates as well (I don't know if they got them from the fight or had taken some prisoners before, sorry). After the battle I moved into the farmer stack and I could add the farmer as a prisoner/slave whereas the River Pirates could be added as regular troops to my stack.

I guess the unconcious part is responsible for the "bug".

[edit] I just noticed this was addressed in the "Knocked Out Bug" topic as well[edit]

But this is realistic, if you come across a bunch of unconscious guys, shouldn't you be able to take them prisoner, free their slaves and steal their stuff? They can't exactly stop you. That's what I did, I got a Dark Knight off a group of peasants I had just saved by doing this.

Fixed it? But I thought it was a feature! As Sir Gillits mentioned, it's pretty realistic that an unconcious party won't do much to stop you from taking them prisoner or freeing their slaves. If it ain't broken, don't fix it :p

Damn Straight!

You'll still be able to do that with enemy parties. The buggy thing was that you got to the loot screen even if you weren't hostile to the encountered party.

But you should still be able to do it to friendly parties. Maybe give a relationship drop though. I thought it was cool that I could free a dark knight from some prisoners.
