Single player features?

So I couldn't find  a list of the new features in the singleplayer campaing... or any new features at all beside the very incomplete list on the main site... I want to know if the new campaign is worth buying the game.

Give it a month or two wait, then buy it. All the bugs should be worked out by then. In the single player anyway; multiplayer is more or less completely cfinished, and in my opinion, is worth the 30 dollars alone.

EDIT: Sorry, I completely didnt answer your main inquiry. The new features, once fully implemented, will most certainly warrant the price tag. But whats more, is that there are tons of new features to the modding engine, so the player made modules are going to be insanely loads better than they were for Vanilla M&B.

what I'd really like to know is if there is a feature list somewhere that I'm missing or they didn't bother to make one and we need to do the campaign to discover what changes they have made.

I found a list of features on steam if it interest anyone else...

Graphical overhaul: Support added for HDR, FSAA, depth of field, soft particles, tone mapping, and many other effects
New models with greater detail and high-quality textures
Multiplayer battles with up to 64 players. Multiplayer modes include Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Conquest, Battle, and Siege
A campaign allowing you to become the ruler of a faction and convince lords to become your vassals
The ability to upgrade your companions to vassals by granting them lands
The ability to marry a lady of the realm for romance or cold political gain. Try to win a lady’s heart through poetry or bravery
Improved mechanics for soldier morale: Soldiers will break and run away if their morale gets too low
Pick any projectile off the battlefield for use as additional munitions
New motion-captured combat animations
Numerous improvements to the combat system: Your shield will still stop arrows even if you are not actively defending
The ability to play multiplayer matches on random maps as well as hand-designed ones
Multiplayer equipment system: Earn money by fighting opponents or accomplishing goals
The ability to use most throwing weapons in close combat: Switch to using a javelin as a short spear when the enemy gets close
Spend gold on more powerful equipment, using a carefully balanced system that will make combat more exciting without giving too much of an advantage to the leading team

That list is more or less spot on. There is also a completely new faction, the Sarranid Sultanate, and the world map was given an overhaul and is now far better. There was also a slew of quests added.

EDIT: Also note, as I made apparent in my first post, the game isnt compltetely finished. Give it a month or two & it will be ready.

If you dont plan on playing multi-player, i wouldn't get this expansion.
It doesn't really have anything mods dont do.

I personally got it to support Taleworlds and for multi-player, but I'm quite disappointed with warbands features.

The only thing you cant get through mods in classic is picking up arrows from the battlefield as munition, and the new map \ multi-player
As for becoming king and recruiting vassals - Done by mods. Morale? Done as well.. Marriage? Also done.

If i where you I'd just wait until some great Warband mods are released.
Chances are that by then the game will be a lot cheaper to buy.

Sorry for bashing the game, I do love playing it.. But It's not all that much different.

theres also a new kick in the nuts stun and apparently politics, and lord interaction received much more complexity... anyway I'll buy it, it's sure to be good eventually.

Might as well buy it now, give the developers a handout to help them "more enthusiastically and speedily" perfect the game.

You might want to consider buying it for the new engine. Warband is way faster on slow computers.

I couldnt play on my laptop, but now it runs smoothly

Why don't you just download it and see for yourself? They have the same trial offer that they had in vanilla M&B.

Gonna have to disagree with this. The changes to AI alone are worth thinking about. Plus, getting half a dozen mods to work together was a pain in the ass, and it didnt always take. Bugs aside, even the features that were covered by mods are covered.. I guess.. more to my liking, would be the best way to put it.

They didn't just throw in the morale script all the classic mods used, either. Soldiers appear capable of routing individually or as a group when completely outmatched.  I've never noticed a huge clump of routed troops when armies clash.. so I assume they only actually rout in small-scale conflicts. That's either a happy coincidence or a damn fine thing. If I made the mod, that is exactly how I would've made it. Turning and running might be tied to health, and out of combat morale, too. Couldnt tell you for sure.

The marriage system is bare-boned, sure, but what do you expect?
I only know of one mod that seriously considered marriages at all, and the only real difference there is in quests.

Literally the only thing that actually bugs me about warband is that the new horses look anorexic.
I'm not saying it's perfect or that I'd spend sixty dollars on it, but if it is a mod, it's a professional grade mod.

So the singleplayer isn't finished yet?
I just bought it, but have noticed a considerable amount of bugs :/

Great game thou!

This seems fairly accurate. It was posted today and it's now on page 3. Holy **** there are a lot of new topics being made.

I've seen large numbers of men routed at once, more than fifty at a time; but that was due to a crushing defeat so it made sense.

I haven't noticed too many bugs, just features that haven't been fully implemented. As mentioned, however, the game is an improvement, yet not a drastic one. I will say that the only flaw it has is the same one that the first one suffered from: shoddy combat AI. Battles are still two infantry columns standing in a line, duking it out. There are no formations, the opponent AI doesn't really use strategy (unless you consider "advance 10 paces every 30 seconds" tactics...), and even the individual fighters lack some brains--I can't tell you how many times I've clocked a guy in the head with my cleaver who was totally oblivious to my very presence. Every now and again that would be fine, but this happens on a disturbingly regular basis...

Anyways, it's a great game that was worth the 25 bucks, but hopefully the mods will address some of its more glaring weaknesses.

Not to be a penis but what AI difficulty are you playing on charles? If its low they will tend to stand around like cattle whilst you slaughter them, the hardest setting tends to make them a bit more nippy. Usually if i clock someone over the noggin they turn around and attack me.
