Single Player Crafting Frustrations

So; I know that crafting is supposed to be something that you work towards in order to enjoy the fun that comes from having a higher crafting skill later on; but devs would it be possible to maybe increase the rng chances when it comes to learning new item recipes? I've spent the last few days maxing out my crafting skill to the max skill level; I've gotten all the perks that increase your chances for learning new recipes when smelting or forging; and for the last 8 hours I've had to resort to using console commands and an unlimited stamina mod for smithing because the game just doesn't have enough resources available for someone to conceivably learn fun new recipes in a timely manner.

Over the last 6 hours I've literally spent almost 6-8k in charcoal smelting 2 handed blades that have a difficulty of 244 to craft; and would sell in any city for 72k. After spending all of that time and charcoal smelting blades; under the 1 handed sword tree alone there are still about 50-60 item parts that I still can not craft;about 40 parts in 2 handed, and maybe around 60ish parts scattered through the rest of the crafting weapon options. I'm not sure if I'm just getting bad rng on this or what; but I'm really hoping once the game comes out of early access it won't be like this; crafting shouldn't feel like I've got worse odds than a mobile gatcha game to be able to make fun equipment for singleplayer...

If you have the improved smithing mod you can alter the rate of which you unlock parts

Ah; probably would have considered grabbing that 8 ish hours ago if I had been thinking about it at that point in time; the only mods I had been using was the unlimited stamina mod; and after some exasperation the developer console mod. Had been trying to avoid using any other mods do to playing on the beta to keep up with updates and wanting to have a somewhat legit experience with this particular character

Mod the game, it'll help your sanity. Or you're going to have to wait a month for a fix.

most perks dont work rn anyway, so i wouldnt assume the smithing perks do.

Actually, a lot of smithing perks work in my experience.

Refining perks work (extra coal, steel, fine steel etc.)
Perks that add focus points and later one that adds stat point do work.
Not sure about the % based perks, I generally preffered to take refining over those because fine steel and thamascene in particular is hard to come by.

What I feel is the worst thing about smithing right now is the stamina - I am actually okay with having it, but having to actually stay in a city for it to regen? ffs make it regen also when travelling, maybe at a slower rate, like healing.

Second worst is the way parts are unlocked - completely random, no way to choose or influence this whatsoever. There should be some way to focus this RNG into an area, eg. I would like to craft a T5 sword, so I need sword parts, so I choose to unlock only sword parts.
At the moment you just hope that you randomly get what you want/need. Considering the number of parts currently in the game, it's frustrating as hell.

Thankfully the improved smithing mod can help make smithing more bearable.

Also a hint: craft javelins. Those are super broken right now and some part combinations sell for ridiculous amounts of money, which in turn levels up the skill faster and unlocks stuff faster (seems to be based on value of the item).
