Sigh....I'm confused

Forgive me in advance for not knowing faction names at all but I am a bit confused.

I went to the north early game because I wanted to be a vassel there. I went to a kingdom and offered to be a sell sword. I ran around and killed a bunch of looters and bandits. I went all the way south to the desert lands because I don't like them and attacked and killed villagers on the road (only 2 groups). Later went back north and the kingdoms would no longer let me in and I'm -30 with them all and I am an enemy.

Any ideas how or why this happened? Is there a way to check if they are somehow allies with the south? In which case I still don't think I did enough for them to hate me this much. Is there a way to quickly build back my reputation with them?

You need to make sure you're at war with a faction before attacking their assets. If you're not, you'll be labeled as a firebrand, basically.

I like your ambition! Unfortunatly, just like in real life, if you start attacking the enemy before convincing allies, they will prosecute you
