Summary: Winning a siege fight doesn't guarantee any loot when the offensive army retreats.
The enemy will also regain all wounded troops and be able to relaunch an attack later on as if nothing happened

Forwarded to the QA team for further investigation. We will reach out again if we need more information. Thanks for reporting and sorry for any inconvenience!

Were you the defender on this scenario? If attacker retreats does not that mean the defender wins? Were there any loot screens? Do you have a save file just before the battle?

Yes,I was the defender.
Yes the defender wins, you get the screen and are awarded the renown and morale but you skip the looting straight to another pointless fight or there's a small chance the A.I goes to build their siege machine and recover the wounded from the fight.

I don't have a save file for a siege in action.

The defender getting wounded back might not be a bug,but an overlook.
It is an inconvenience atleast, since your troops will die by their ranged while your siege machines will wound them only.
And if you have Doctor's Oath will work against you, aswell.
You're also not in control on what siege machines are built, and it seems A.I will remove Ballistas for Onagers.
Ballistas were counterweight to this situation as it's kill the troops.

However the loot screen skip is definetly a bug,it happened in the past aswell.
I believe it was "fixed" by not letting A.I retreat.

I can confirm this.

With this add.
My formations with be joined, loosing the captains perk when the attackers ram and tower is destroyed.

Also happens on ps4, the sieges are getting infinite, they retreat and get mostly wounded troops and attack again like nothing happened. The only solution for this is to auto resolve/simulate.

Were you experiencing this issue while Options > Gameplay > Reinforcement Wave Count setting set to Unlimited? What was the battle size setting you are using?

What was the battle size option set to? IS Reinforcement Wave Count set to Unlimited? What I asked is not related with graphics.

It's not because of the settings, the settings don't matter. The problem is in the game, because of the AI. You only have to increase the rate of casualties and reduce the wounded rate, also decrease the retreat chance slightly, then it would be fixed.
Regards.
What is the battle size option set to?
