This has probably been asked before, but I searched and couldn't find anything (relevant).
How do you "win" when defending in a siege? I don't mean survive, surviving is easy, but win. I.E. get the end battle XP, the all important loot, and the prisoners? After I beat off the first wave/round it seems like the enemies just run off and there never is a second round. When they get far enough away the siege breaks and I get squat. Is it just the game AI telling the Lords that they no longer have enough troops for a siege so they leave? If so, then how does anyone "win"? Or do they just get bored and wander off? In all cases they still outnumbered me at least 2 to 1 (and 3-4 to 1 when I leave the castle), if not more, so I can't sally forth and fight them open field, but they don't stick around to finish the siege.
Thanks for any insight
Also a few other quick questions... (didn't search for)
Any suggestions on how to enter your castle while it's under siege? I "leave" so I can get in my inventory and my party screen, and when it comes time to open the castle menu again I can't click on the castle because of all the other armies around.
When you defeat a faction do all the captured Lords disappear? It'll be sad to see my dungeon empty again. That was my whole reason for capturing this dang castle!
