This is now a huge issue partially from an older problem and now a new one. When an AI army attempts to siege one of the biggest issues is that they will spend many days building ranged siege engine to fire at the fief in which they have no chance of doing any real damage, that wastes time while also losing troops for the attacker, this wastes so much time that one of 3 things happen, 1) the army leave to go defend another siege, 2) they run out of food and have to leave 3) now implemented they leave running low on influence. The AI are wasting way to much time building ranged siege equipment that makes no difference causing most sieges never to happen. The AI needs to be altered not to do this unless they plan on storing and releasing all at once, I would guess in my 2 hour live stream I noticed 5-10 failed sieges for this exact reason. AI armies need to stop wasting so much time building trebuchets and onagers that will do nothing but cause a siege to fail
