Resolved Siege - no defenders bug

Hi,

I noticed after yesterday update an easy way to get a castle or city - works for all locations I guess:
So to reproduce it you will need few steps:
1. start besige and wait till enemy army will try to approach your party
2. lead the assalut just before enemy army will attack your

3. timing is crucial - you need start the siege just after the army gathered around you start to walking towards your besige camp

4. siege then have no defenders - all the troops inside the castle/town after successfull siege are there as your troops

so as you can see, whole garnison of the castle is now as my troops, castle was taken without any fight.
when we do the siege as the enemy army is still staying still - normal battle will begin, if we start the siege just a second after the army is moving towords us - no defenders will be on the siege and we will take it as a free with all the garnison now being on our side
 
I have the same but for me there is no timing required. Its really annoying, I just want to siege and I get the castle/town for free. Going to revert to an older version until fixed.
 
Hi guys,
After last update, no matter which game Im loading, after besieging enemy settlement and assaulting it, I ALWAYS from now on, encounter no enemy troops, even if they have 300-700 troops garrisoned. I just win battle after 5 seconds. Both taking 0 casualties, my enemy "didn't"even have any troops present. Uninstalled and reinstalled game, same issue.
 
Same. I have saves and a video of it.

It is like the game is pulling in the enemy parties and making them allies for the siege. This happened today with version 1.4.2 playing my save that was on 1.4.1.

clearly TaleWorlds does not pay attention to the steam forums. People have been raging about this since yesterday morning.

The developers are well aware of this issue and they are currently working on it. All of the threads that are marked "in progress" will be updated by us when they solve it.
 
Hello, I have the same issue, when I siege any castle or city there are no defenders and they are all in my team lets say.

Not to be nitpicky, but this is a pretty obvious and HUGE bug. It makes it seem like there's 0 checks being done by TW at all after finishing the next batch of code for a "patch"/"update". I understand that the masses are essentially acting as an unpaid army of beta testers for the opportunity to play the game pre-official completed release.... but I definitely recall that siege gameplay was/is supposed to be THE defining aspect of the game (at least in how it was marketed) yet it seems to have the highest degree of bugs, pathfinding errors, crashes, etc. Coupled with the fact that the in game video footage released from like 4 years ago show SIGNIFICANTLY smoother pathfinding, combat, use of siege engines, AI obeying player commands, etc... it is kinda confusing as to how a defining feature of the game regressed so significantly. So you'd think they would at least do a quick check to make sure that whatever they just did in the new update didn't happen to break a major game feature.
I still thoroughly enjoy the game, but its really frustrating when that defining feature is largely broken, the advertised "crime zones" where you could post up party members to take over alleys after defeating the local gang are non-existent, the idea that you could take over an individual village and essentially build it up into a castle/walled town is non-existent (also heard that idea was completely scrapped), there's no way to tell if ALL the perks are even working or not, and we still have numerous performance issues + CTDs
