This is probably console specific as pc players have far greater potential for customization.
Anyway, it would be a nice QOL change to be able to split player damage taken within the game settings between battle, siege attacker and siege defender. Personally I like realstic damage but as an attacker in a siege I'd take a damage reduction as I can rarely participate at all there. If if not splatted by a catapult, headshotted by an xbow or inexplicably flying off ladders, I'm cowering at the deployment zone waiting until there's 10 defenders left. Just think the one size fits all option we have now isn't good enough.
