Siege battle: keep

The siege maps themselves have the potential to be fought 2nd time inside keep courtyard, but AI will fight on 1st wall to the death and you cannot climb 2nd walls, if AI is developed further and maps adjusted, you could pretty much have all 3 warband fights combined into 1 battle: The first wall, streets and keep/it's walls.
 
At this moment we have troops retreating to the keep when they lose morale, I am wondering if they will do something with those. Although sieges are supercool, there is still a lot of work to be done
 
there was a bug that at the end of the siege you were fighting inside the keep so they probably will implement it in the future but nothing for now,atm sieges are a horrible mess,nothing is working soooo they'll have to fix that part 1st.

I've seen them move down from the walls and go back further into the town area, but it was only when very few were left and was when I was killing them from inside the walls with my warband waiting on the outside. They seems to want to regroup further inside (but on same map) but I think if you're charging the wall normally you'd just kill them before they would do this.

If they have a keep fight I hope it's like the bandit boss fight where you could duel instead or have a brawl!
 
Location of troops in the siege map needs to be modified. Archers should be as high as possible and where ever there is a murder hole. Where ladders are going to land should have infantry only and the infantry need to learn to use their shields. Also the infantry at the main gate need to charge and pin the attackers in the doorway so they can't use their greater numbers to encircle. That's what they showed in the first playable demo years ago, and now they just stand there and get surrounded.
 
one more thing when the main gate falls archers should rush to above the second gate to do as much damage as possible. Very few defenders above the door most times.
 
Is fighting in the keep that important ? compared to gaining control of the walls ? / bashing down gate ? / allocating defending troops properly at particular wall sections ? etc

There should be fighting throughout the city. Once the walls have fallen and the gate has been breached the defenders should fall back to the next defensible position if they have enough men. That's kinda the point of a citadel.

Since there are barricades and stuff throughout the streets I get the feeling siege battles will be given more depth eventually, once they've fixed siege towers etc.
