Well... Its not.

Now it all makes sense.
perhaps you have different definitions of games than me. i won't call any piece of mobile/console mass of garbage codes a "game".
and some of the best games i've had the pleasure of playing are simple in design. could be made from javascript in half a day.

i'm making the argument that the company that made mount and blade is actively trying to kill their franchise with their second installment of the series, you might disagree with me, but saying M&B is becoming mainstream? lol it had the chance during the first month of ER. but we know the rest now don't we....
You saying Taleworlds is trying to kill itself is a bigger conspiracy then the flat earth conspiracy.
I never said M&B has become mainstream, i was talking about the souls genre.

Please name a few of them  (classic/traditionel boardgames that was made into a videogame doesnt count)

I also pre-ordered Victrix Norman Cavalry that cost me more than this game.

I wish the Vlandians were more like this in Bannerlord (not only in terms of equipment, but also horse size).

"Horses from Jutland were exported to England, Germany, and France during the Middle Ages,[5] and were popular mounts for knights, especially for use in jousting.[1] The first mention of the Jutland type is from the 12th century, when they are documented as war horses with many useful attributes."
