Need More Info Showing that a lords and companions are dead when they are alive and well

I am playing with the option of heroes can die on (I don't know if this is relevant but i will say either way), I fought a battle against an enemy lord and during the fighting I hit him with my spear and the game told me that I outright killed him, and to "confirm" this I looked the battle scores and sure enough there he was in the KIA statistic, but when the battle finished he was alive and the game give me the option to capture him.
Same thing happened some time after with my companion, she was suposedly killed in battle, her name was in the KIA statistic but after the battle she was only wounded.
Bare in mind I AM playing with permadeath on, so I can only assume this is a visual bug where the game tells me one thing when it should tell me another. If this is not the case and companions and lords cannot be killed in battle even when the permadeath is on, I have to say it is pretty disapointing. But I hope for the best and that this bug will be fixed
