Didn't we have the Scramble league happening? It ended up being dead, I know it's not the same, but it is similar.

5v5 means teams like BeNe won't exist (They both could make two 8 men teams if they tried hard enough but wanted the best players from both nations because of their massive egos), thus means that we'll all have a great time playing the game!

I hope we'll just have something. A Nation's Cup or something else, I don't mind, let's just keep something active so people keep doing matches to train, I still want to see people on IG_Battlegrounds + It's one of the only games I can run on my computer, show mercy.

Well, people were talking about this Bladecast tourney recently. I'd also want to know if it's happening so people won't actually host a new tournament and 2 days later, Bladecast tourney will be announced, that would be unconvenient.

Admins just gave up and captains apart from KANE (sry if others) didn't give a **** about it so rip

Personally I think they tend to fizzle a bit anyway but it did happen around the same time as another tournament was beginning so it did have less focus on it.

There is no big advantage, between those who are for and against :/
But 50 Players voting yes in half a day shows there is enough interest in a tournament i think

I would certainly like it to go ahead.  For my part I have been trying since this summer to build an Irish team that has enough players so that we don't crap out in the early stages again.
Probably have enough players now, but trying to schedule 2 games in a week would probably be too much, as most of us have real lives that get in the way.  We also have a few players- including myself- who would not play in any other tournament, so some substitute tourney wouldn't be of any interest.

8v8 means we might struggle to make a team every time, 5v5 would mean that we would have a lot of players not getting to play every time...

Personally I do prefer the 8v8 and would hope that it goes that way, but would agree that a 5v5 is probably more practical, and let the bigger countries have 2 teams with no personnel cross-over.
Dissolve all standing alliances, but let countries make a case for Alliances with the new admins from scratch.  If there is a case for it, then fine.  If it is just to load a team with good players, then reject it.  For the record, some of the players on the Irish team are from Northern Ireland, and a couple are ex-pat families, so we would have to pass that by the admins ourselves.

A couple suggestions for discussion:
1: Could there be a compromise system for team numbers?  Like make it an 8v8 tournament, unless both teams agree from the beginning/a week before hand/etc. to play with less?
2: Like the above, but you get penalised a round per person missing, so if you show up with 5, fine, but you default the first 3 rounds?

One way or another, this is probably the last year that any sort of Warband NC will happen, lets not skip it out completely.

Any particular reason for 5 instead of 6 or 7? Obviously the higher it gets the harder it becomes for some teams to form & schedule, but does it absolutely have to be 5?

NC 5v5 but matches are played every other day.

Totally agree

yeah guys bannerlord will release this year! they're releasing lore updates, really showing us how close the game is to release!!!!

wait.. dont forget the conversational animations

When me and Scar used to admin a lot we used to try and map out a good year of Warbanding. These days imo it would look something like this:

Nation's 5 a Side (mid Feb - mid April)
ECS Style Tournament (early may - end June)
WNL Style Tournament (early July - mid September)
EC5 Style Tournament  (early Oct - mid November)
WNL Style tournament (mid November - early Feb)

Of course there's room for fun tournaments around some of these. Especially things like the Nation's Cup and EC5 style tournaments.

Having this stuff mapped out so people know what to expect and there's a structure to things means teams know what they have to look forward to. Teams can prepare and there's a good variety in tournament types. Neither me or Scar have the time or will anymore to do all that but I'd encourage anyone planning on running a tournament to announce it and discuss it with other people who are planning on running tournaments.
