should there be a cultural variety of armor and weapons in the game?

"Fill every of those pots half with grosse gunpowder "
-Lucar, 1588
I know you are looking at the same wiki page as I am. That is a quate in early modern age. Fire pots have been used for military purpose since classical times. This information is in the same wiki page, and somehow you choose you ignore.

You should probably just apologize for being an obvious Wumao and get the hell out. You will never do anything but breed contempt for China and only achieve the opposite of respect here.
And I am not a "Wumao" as you say, and you should think about what you are doing claiming that any Chinese who will say something about China is a "Wumao"
If it were a German speaking of his country, what would he be? a Japanese?
You're being racist and xenophobic

I'm reading about fire pots to see if I didn't say anything stupid so I can apologize
That source is from a 16th century text. Apparently, fire pots have been used since classical times when gunpowder was yet to be invented. How can you prove that gunpowder is in the game besides that?

I can't argue with this guy there, please send me a message in private I speak my conclusions

the link did not attribute the firepots creation to chinese...they said combustible material, and if they mention gunpowder....it's all after like 15th century...

the only relevant one is the Siege of Petra from Wikipedia, where the Sasanians used fire pots containing sulfur and bitumen in 550-551 AD, again, china did not have use of bitumen...so....no credits.

In Chinese history, The NanWu gave 猛火油 to 耶律阿保機, who by far, is not Chinese...and didn't know how to use it, nor did NanWu who are chinese, and don't have a recorded use for it in siege....nor did their neighbouring warlords....

Just ignore him. My point is that there is no gunpowder weapon in the game, and even if there is, it has nothing to do with adding a China inspired faction. There is simply no logical link between these two arguments.

Never said that fire pots were Chinese inventions,
But yes, black powder does

Ditto, that should be in seperate threads, and I believe someone already posted wanting gunpowder era mods.

I personally like to see some Chinese inspired theme mods (no, no Three Kingdoms) that are perhaps based in either the 大分裂. or just as it enters the Five dynasties period in the late Tang Dynasty.

Look, we're just speculating here, let's say that is a fire pot, its effect on the game is too bad to be such, it would be more viable for it to be an explosive with black powder, which would have the same effect that the explosive does, in history the Mongols were responsible for spreading the black powder and getting it to Europe, and they had weapons with it and one of them was a kind of "grenade" that looks a lot like that, I can't tell you what the name is because neither I know, and as the game has kingdoms from different eras, wouldn't it be strange to find gunpowder there, because from what I remember in the warband there was no right? but there was a hidden file that contained Japanese armor and a pistol, which was with this pistol that they managed to make mods with firearms with its effects and in an old post on this forum, a man was able to find this in items_usages.xml

Yeah, I am a Chinese, I like to see some good China themed mods too. But adding a Chinese faction into the base game is a big immersion breaking move for me.
