I know M&B is nearing it's v.1.00 and that almost all the main features are implemented, but I think that alongside polishing the graphics small eye candy like spitting should be added. It would add more depth to the game. Just imagine your scoundrel/hero enter a tavern and send a nasty green loogie flying across the room. Or another situation: you offer a hired blade 300 denars instead of 400 he was asking and he just gives you a mean eye and spits in the bucket. Though it may sound ridiculous, it is a small thing like this that separates ordinary games from classics.

simple, gross, pointless... but awesome!

Kinda goes with my idea of taunting based on charisma. Where playing a nord, with no charisma would have you simply moon the enemy (much like the skirt wearing scots! =D)

I don't think M&B 1 will have that as a feature, or anything similar.
Why should the devs bother with that anyway if the AI still needs to be worked on? I think the depth that this game needs can and needs to be achieved through other features first.

Yes, atm the AI is "Baby....wuuuuuth!?"

AI needs AT LEAST a LoS feature (Where they dont always know where everyone is)

How would it be implemented, and what purpose would it serve?  That's like playing some military FPS and having your character or NPC's swearing randomly.  I don't spit, I don't swear - doesn't make it any more realistic for me.  If M&B ever turns into an Oblivion, it could be a method to start some fight in a tavern, but there's no larger feature in the current game to make it have any relevant point.

well he means have some NPCs there randomy set to spit occasionally. Mostly astetic.

And your comparing guns and modern warfare to swords and people who though bathing more then once a month washed away the good spirits that kept them healthy?

Edit: And yes, its a bottom of the list add on, but something to keep in mind at least if they get enough time to add on these little touches

why stop at spit?
nords should fart in vaeguir faces!!!
they should lower their trousers and wave their pricks to the incoming enemy!!

seriously, that's an unrealistic suggestion.

Do you even know what a spitoon (SP?) is?
In medieval times, people shat and didnt wash hands, or wipe. Then would eat from food made up of fresh warm milk from the cow and meat barely cooked, served from those same hands into one pot that everyone stuck their hands in, ate with their unwashed teeth, then tossed whatever they didnt eat from said grabbed food back into the pot for others to gnaw on.
Unrealistic? Don't get us started on the "Unrealism" in the game. If ya want realism, go to a renisance fair (which even that isnt real)
Medieval times were disgusting

The Blind Skald 说:
sigh...unrealistic as in they wont ****ing add spit.
Shoulda specified, yeah they probally won't. Thats why I had added it would be a bottom list "Hey, we got some free time, lets add tihs bastard real quick like"

That's exactly what I meant. Game should be dirty and more rugged so we'd have a bit more medieval atmosphere.

Yeah add farting too!
There is nothing more gritty and REAL than waiting on the top of the hill while the enemies attack and letting a little fright-fart.

Are you guys on some kind of drug?

I want some of this too.

Lol read fully what he meant by spitting. He didn't mean dead risings unarmed spit at the enemy attack. He means just an occasional ruffian using a spittoon or such for aesthetic purposes

Don't forget the spitting contest!! And remember, you have to say, "Look, a Three-Headed-Monkey!" to get them to turn while you switch the flags around :p (who gets this reference?).

Person One: That looks like a king?
Person Two: Why is that so?
Person One: Well he hasn't got **** all over him.

(Monty Python and the Holy Grail)

Maybe we could have a corpse collector yelling BRING OUT YER DEAD for laughs though.

No, really.. Spitting shouldn't be implemented. I think the devs should concentrate on other stuff.
